The chair is in sleep mode or lockout mode. To unlock-- turn on the chair, immediately push the joystick straight forward until you hear a beep then push it straight back until you hear another beep then release to center. This should unlock the joystick. Turn the chair off then back on and you should get normal operation Hope this helps

WHEN POWER ON CHAIR SPEED LIGHT BLINK .BOTH BATTERY WAS REPLACE AND JOYSTICK.SAME PROBLEM

The battery meter lights will flash a flash code when something is wrong. If the lights are flashing the same number of lights each time. get that number it is a flash code. if the lights are cascading up and down that indicates that the Joystick is locked. unlock by turning on the joystick and pushing the horn button twice within 10 sec. of turning on. Or push on button and hold the joystick gimbal forward until it beeps then back until it beeps. This should have it unlocked, if not Pride Jazzy Tech 800-800-8586

The speed lights keep flashing. It still moves.

The speed light flashing usually indicate that the chair is in "Limp Mode" This could be either the motor is getting too hot or the chair has a lift on the seat. If the chair runs fine for a while and then this condition appears, you may have a bad motor or a brake dragging causing the motor to get hot. the controller will allow less power to the motors to help it cool down and still keep you mobile. If you have a lift on the chair that raises up the chair, you will have to lower the chair down to gain the full power back. If neither one of these solutions are the problem, then you will need a Tech to come out and look at the problem. you may have a more serious problem that a tech can troubleshoot.

When I turn on controller power the speed lights flash slowly. Joystick does nothing and chair is dead. Chair is Pride Jet 3 Ultra.

Do all of the speed lights flash at the same time or do they ripple from left to right? If they ripple from left to right the chair is in lock mode and you can use the unlock procedures from my tips to unlock. If they are all flashing at the same time you have an internal joystick problem and the joystick needs to be replaced Hope this helps

All the lights are blinking on the speed display.. we've had the chair plugged into both the back of the chair and the armrest.. the chair still won't move.

The speed display will flash whenever you have the charger plugged in. Either in the back or in the joystick. Hopefully you didn't have them both plugged in at the same time. If after you unplug the charger you still get the flashing speed lights then you have an inhibit problem with the chair. The inhibit function will keep you from being able to drive the chair while charging. This repair is beyond anything you can do and must be referred to a Pride dealer or Repair service Hope this helps you

I have an 11 month old jazzy 1170xl. part of the time when you push the power button you get 2 flashing red lights. if you keep resetting it with the reset button, it will eventually power up and work fine...

You can visit this website to find answers on what the flashing trouble indicator lights mean: http://www.pgdt.com/scenter/diagnostics/diagvsi.html
Locate the page that has the controller used on your power chair/scooter and count how many lights are flashing to diagnose the trouble.
If the Jazzy is pulling to one side, it may indicate that there is a bad fuse or motor and the blinking lights are trying to alert you to this.
If your insurance purchased the power chair for you, they may also cover the repairs and have a DME (Durable Medical Equpment) company to refer you to for service if the Scooter Store is not helpful; contact them for information.
Good luck!

My speed indicator lights are constintly flashing- the chair works fine though

You don't say what sort of chair you have, but if it has tilt or power seating system, the speed lights flashing could be a power-limiting warning, which means you have the seat tilted or raised too high for full power so it is limited to going slow. Lower seat and then try to drive it an normal speed. If the seat isn't tilted or raised and lights are flashing, then the switch on the chair that senses the height or the tile is probably faulty and would require replacement. Do NOT disable or bypass the switch as it is a safety device to prevent unsafe operation.
