This is not as bad as it looks, the Pump motor is more challenging. If your sump needs to be replaced then do the following. Unplug the unit, shut off the water, and remove the racks. Next remove the wash pipe that goes from the sump to up the back and over the top, it just pulls out but be gentle. Next remove all the screws on top of the screen and pull that out. You will see a gasket seal that is either stretched or broken. Next remove the white Pump wheel by turning the screw clockwise (the threads are reversed so it does not unscrew when the pump is running). Now pull up on the grey plastic wash pump housing. You will see the grinding blade that pulls off the wash pump motor shaft. There is your sump. If you need to change the pump you'll have to turn the unit over. Chances are all you'll need to do is really clean out the sump and replace the stretched out seals, available online for about 15.00 or so. Reassemble and start washing. good luck.

What way does the cutting blade go back on the shaft? Does the flat part face up or down?

What does the error code oE on a Samsung dishwasher mean?

Dishwasher Error Codes. The 1E and/or the OE Error Code is caused by blockage preventing the unit from draining proplerly. Fortunately, most of the time this can be resolved by cleaning the Fine Filter System and Sump in the dishwasher. If that does not resolve the issue, unfortunately service is required.

Brand new Samsung Dishwasher DW7933LRA Flashing light "HEAVY" and will not start

Had a look in the user manual for your dishwasher.http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201211/20121101114232459/DW7933LRASR-00141A-02.pdf

Page 26 shows blinking Heavy light means there is leakage in the dishwasher. Most likely there is water in the base under the drain sump which could cause the flood switch to trip. Turn mains power to dishwasher off. Pull it out from under kitchen bench without breaking the hoses. Put some towels on the floor and turn dishwasher back and forth on incline to get water out. Wait a little and turn on. If no difference then you need to dry the base and find the source of the leak. More likely the door seal.

My dishwasher is leaking onto my kitchen floor.

This is most likely either due to a clog in the drain line or the seal around the sump being at fault. It depends where your unit is leaking from. If you remove the bottom kick plate from the unit you should be able to see where the water is leaking from if it is in the middle of the unit most likely you would have to replace the sump and sump gasket if it is off to the side of the sump then it might be the drain pump being clogged or blocked with something that is makeing it leak. If you have any further questions message me back and Thanks again for using Fixya

GE dishwasher leaks in middle - bottom - what part do I need

you would need to replace the sump or rather the sump gasket but they dont usually sell the sump gasket without u buying a new sump and most of the time you pay more for just the sump then if you were to buy the sump and motor together as a kit you can find the parts at marcone appliance parts and they will mail you the parts directly before ordering the sump make sure you check the drain pump also it is located in the same area but when you usually have a leak it comes from the sump or the sump gasket but you'll have t crawl under and visually inspect where your leak is coming from please remember to rank this opinion on how it helped with your appliance situation and if i can answeer any further questions please message me back thanks again

Displays LE and will not wash dishes

LE is a motor error.
Possible Causes: Wiring connections, Impeller is locked, Rotor is locked, and or the Blade is locked.
Remedy: Repair the wiring issue, Remove the item stopping the turning of the motor/rotor/blade, Replace the sump assembly, or Replace the main Power Control Board.
If your motor was making in knocking sound before this error, then your issue is probably the motor sump assembly. Just replace the sump assembly and your problem is resolved. You can get these from EBAY for about $105 with free shipping.
Good luck.

Dishwasher leaks, not the valve, comming from underneith right side. looks like its comming from the sump. Pump seal??

There is a seal that goes around the sump that possibly has failed. The part number is 5304460995, however, you should check the screws that hold teh sump to the tub, as they may have come loose. If it's the pump seal leaking, the pump would need to be replaced, as they aren't serviceable
