I installed the PC Suite for my LG BL40, but it won't connect via USB and my computer doesn't have a bluetooth device. |Ive tried everything suggested and when I connect choosing Music Sync, it connects bu then wont let me do anything. All I want is to pass photos and videos! What can I do? Also, the Mass Storage connection doesnt have enough space.

On your phone you can go directly to the url link of LG (in some phones it is already there under bookmarks). This will display the information available which can be downloaded. It can be games, themes,wallpapers, music etc. You can select your themes and download. Once the download is over you will be asked to save. Once it is saved it can be used whenever you want it. The other ways are:
Bluetooth is probably the easiest way of transferring a file from your computer to your phone. You can also use the LG PC Suite via your sync cable. You can refer to the users guide provided with the phone.
PC Sync You can synchronise your PC with your phone to make sure all your important details and dates match. Also, you can download files ( Themes ,Wall papers, Games, Music, Media and any other data ) from computer to phone.
Installing LG PC Suite on your computer
1 From the Home screen press and select Connectivity on the SETTINGS tab. 2 Select USB connection mode and touch PC Suite. 3 Connect the handset and PC via USB cable and wait for a while. Installation guide message will be displayed. 4 Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the LG PC Suite Installer wizard. 5 Once installation is complete, the LG PC Suite icon will appear on your desktop.
Connecting your phone and PC

Backing up and restoring the information on your phone 1 Connect your phone to your PC as outlined above. 2 Click on the Backup icon, and select Backup or Restore. 3 Mark the content you would like to backup or restore. Select the location you would like to backup information to, or restore information from. Click Start icon. 4 Your information will be backed up or restored.

What type of connection are you using? Is it via cable or via bluetooth? If its via a USB cable, you need to make sure that you select the correct option. It can work as a mass storage device, a media player or via the Samsung PC Suite(the disc contains the software that needs to be installed on your computer). If you want only access to your memory card, then you can use it as a mass storage device. If you plan to sync your messages etc to the PC suite then you need to install it and connect via the PC Suite.

you can copy music files in two ways:
1) Send via USB
a) Install the Samsung PC Suite (driver) in your PC/Laptop.
b) Connect the device with the PC/Laptop via the USB cable got.
The PC suite will act as an interface for connecting the mobile to the PC. Use original USB cable for faster & efficient data transfer.
c) The PC suite will give an interface for copying the music files to the mobile, Or, you can directly copy files by accessing the extra drive shown on the MyComputer which denotes the mobile device's memory.

2) Send via Bluetooth
If you have an active bluetooth device available in your PC/Laptop then just send files to the mobile after searching the mobile.

N72 can be connected to your PC in two ways.
1. By USB cable
2.Via Bluetooth.

Bluetooth means you need to buy a device called Bluetooth dongle to provide bluetooth connectivity to your system.

For both usb and bluetooth, you need a software called Nokia PC Suite to access the mobile contents and for data transfer

And the PC in question has a bluetooth adapter? Sounds like its getting to the point where it would detect and connect after clicking finish then not finding the bluetooth adapter to connect to the phone. Another thing you can try is connecting via USB cable to the computer, that will get everything detected and install drivers as needed, then go back to trying via Bluetooth, my Motorola phone required doing that for some reason!

Go into control panel, click on bluetooth icon. Tick box 'allow bluetooth devices to find this computor.

Switch on bluetooth on phone and search for new devices. Message on computor, a device is trying to connect. click on message enter code, 0000. enter same code on phone when prompted (be quick).

Start LG pc suite, connection wizard, click bluetooth then next, enter code 0000 when prompted.

Look at phone enter same code, 0000, when prompted and hey presto all will work.

this is a uninstalled driver issue...although you install the usb driver it is still not sorted in device manager ,,you need to go into device manager and re install driver manually.....

Happened to me a few times. Try restarting your computer but leaving it plugged in so your computer already recognises what it is.

If you plug it in your computer takes 10 minutes or so figuring out what it is and whether you need to download anything additional for it to work. If you restart your computer by the time you click LG PC Suite it will have already recognised what it is and will work. If your computer has wireless settings you could try connection through bluetooth!
