Bosch dishwasher regularly floods

I have a bosch dishwasher approx 2 years old (says something like electronic management) Regularly - without any obvious signs of a blocked filter- carries on taking on water until it flows out of the door and floods the kitchen. We empty it out and pour boiling water down the drain and it will work again straight away but after another few days it will do the same. The washing machine uses the same pipes so I don't think the pipes are to blame - but they may need to be cleaned . Should I call a plumber or just replace the dishwasher?

I currently own a BOSCH Dishwasher approx 2.5 years old. It just runs for 3 minutes then stops and starts again - red LED light by Tap icon flashing

Hi, that sounds like you have a fault in the water inlet valve. Best get checked or replace the water inlet valve.

Dishwasher pellet does not fall to the bottom of my bosch dishwasher. Gets stuck in pull out handle

I do not know this specific machine, but I have to say that if the pellet hits something regularly instead of falling freely into the machine, then the design of the machine may simply not be good for pellets. Use powder. That also allows you to use more or less when required.

I cannot be sure of the make/model - there is no power

It sounds like you have a bad controller which is an expensive part if it is over five years old. However, there is a recall on some Bosch dishwashers which involves replacing the control. If you call Bosch at 1-800-944-2904 they can tell you if your model is involved in the recall.

Dishwasher not draining or washing

One possible solution to your problem could be as follows... Could have been little regular soap or something put in that made it suds up causing it not to drain. Pouring vegetable oil into the dish washer tub will remove the suds. After running vegetable oil for about 5 minutes, pour 2 cups of vinegar in to the tub and run it on the hottest longest cycle with no dishes in it. This will clean the residue out and what ever "gunk" may be in the internal parts. Use Only powder detergent. No gel and No tabs. These 2 cause a build-up over a period of time of use and reduce the performance of your machine. This should take care of your problem.

Any reported problems with new Finish Quantum Powerball tablets

Yes there have been some issues with these stuff in dishwashers without flood protection. If you want to use them you will have to get a anti-flood attachment for your washer. So its up to you to decide..

Bosch SHU43C installed in 2003

My Bosch SHU43C had the same exact problem. I found the below solution on this site. Perhaps you already seen it.

My SHU43C is just over 3 years old. I had a similar problem recently. First, there were a few floods. Then, the Bosch only drained non-stop. Even when I used the Cancel Drain buttons the drain pump would run without stopping. When I tried to run one of the cleaning cycles, no water entered the machine. Corrective: I removed the base plate, and saw that the red plastic floatation device was in the up position. Using a flashlight and a wooden spoon, I lightly toggled the red float stem down. I pushed regular clean cycle and kept toggling with the red float stem until the rinse water started to enter the machine (turning the red stem seems to also actuate a step in the program). Now the dishwasher runs normally. Voila!
