NONE OF MY SD CARDS WILL GO ALL THE WAY IN THE SD SLOT ON PC ANYMORE.

The Acer 5315 Notebook doesnt have a SD Card slot to my understanding.

Yes the type of card matters for the slot. If your pc/ laptop is newer and you have never used the slot, then more than likely the dummy plastic piece is still in it. This needs to be removed before you can insert any cards into it. Also, an SD card will only fit an SD slot, there are many other types of cards as well. If your card slot says that it will except SD, XD, miniSD, and so on.....then you can insert the SD card that you have.

plug it into your pc/laptop via sd card slot (adapter needed if its a micro sd) or through a usb memory card reader. open folder to view files, then copy and paste/drag and drop the files you want into a folder on your desktop.

You will find the SD card holder to keep the SD card. then keep the sd card holder in the laptop slot.

You need to install the drivers of sd card reader also to work.

Your laptop may not have a sd memeory card slot, if it has it should be either the front or either side, if none there, you can link your mobile phone to your laptop using a compatable usb. Should have had one provided when brought your phone.

For you to put an SD card into your laptop, you have to possess a SD card converter. Normally, it comes with the card if you bought it new but if there is none, you have to purchase one.
When you get the converter, you can slot your SD card into it and then put the converter into your laptop.

Use a separate card reader.

Try using a tweezer to get the sd card out, but if you're having a hard time removing it. There is no way but to replace the motherboard since you will really need a force to remove it (mechanical problem) and it will anyway damage that motherboard.

You have to reload the drivers for the SD card.
You may have tio reload other software too.

The slot is for multiple card formats, usually SD/CF/xD/MMC etc...

Look at it closely you should see different contact points inside, your sd card should slip into one of the slots inside the larger slot.

BUT!!! Some user guides are printed for entire families of notebooks and mention all the available options for that type of notebook. Your laptop might not have come with an SD card slot at all even if it is mentioned in the book.
