Lexmark prospect pro205 how do I fold the control panel?

If you open the panel where you replace the ink cartridges there is a square hole directly behind the control panel. The area gives you enough space to put your hand under the plastic and you will feel what I only describe as a plastic latch, pull it and you should feel the control panel loosen to then be able to close.

Actually, I tried both and they are both correct. The first answer is kind of doing it backwards, but it works. The second answer also works, but if you don't lift the panel first, you have to exert A LOT of force!! When it finally did give my finger got cut on the "latch" that alkesh2004 was talking about. (The "latch" is actually a plastic barrier that holds the panel up and what the panel slides past while closing.)

So, again. If you place your hand under the control panel, find the grooved "button" with your fingers, gently lift/tilt up the panel, THEN press very firmly, and you'll feel the plastic give under your finger's pressure. The panel will note close flat.
