I have found the auto detect option on the left of the screen to work very well, however, if it doesn't work for you, the website is very easy to search and navigate, and is updated quite frequently.
I have also found that Asus are prompt to answer email should you need to contact them.

You might try the Vista drivers if you haven't already. Otherwise you're probably out of luck. All you can do is install a new sound card which is compatible with W7 and disable the on-board sound in the BIOS. This is the same problem many people ran into when XP was coming into use, and they found hardware and software compatibility issues. At some point you just have to upgrade your hardware if you want to use the newest OS, and now might be the time.
