Unlocking Policy TracFone is working with manufacturers of mobile wireless devices to pursue secure solutions which would allow for unlocking of devices without jeopardizing the security of those devices. TracFone will use commercially reasonable efforts to ensure that mobile wireless devices are capable of being unlocked domestically without compromising TracFone's ability to protect against unlawful distribution and use of such devices and without impeding TracFone's ability to protect its intellectual property. Follow these simple steps
1 - Input the code *#06# into your phone's keypad. Press the "SEND" button. Listen for the IMEI number, which you will need to provide to receive an unlock code.

2 - Contact your Tracfone cell phone provider. Ask the representative for an unlock code. Give the representative your phone's IMEI number, model number and manufacturer's name.

3 - Turn over your Tracfone. Remove the protective cover. Take out the battery and place the SIM card underneath. Replace the battery and protective cover.

4 - Input the unlock code as provided by your cell phone provider. Press the "OK" button. Your Tracfone should allow you to access the network.

Your sim card may be permanent lock and will need a new sim card.
Do not enter any more codes.
Contact Tracfone at 1-800-867-7183 or go on their website
to sent them an email. At the bottom of the website, click on Contact US.
Tracfone will be able to provide you with the PUK code.

Is it the SIM Card that came with that Tracfone? Becuase Tracfone's only work with the Sim Card they came with, not any other SIM Card. If it is, I'm not really sure how to fix it, except that you should try removing the SIM Card (located under or around the battery) and putting it back in again. Otherwise, you can contact Tracfone at their website, www.tracfone.com. Hope this helps! :)

myt phonw is acting up and when i turn it on it says sos calls only

the problem with your sim is that a wrong puk code has been put when the phone asked for it.......the sim was first blocked and after repeatedly entering a wrong code many times ...it got rejected....please go to your service center of your network and they will fix it for you.....they would charge you a nominal fee

this happend to me. I called tracfone and they had to send me a new sim card but it had my same phone number on it and they do it free of charge.

you can't switch SIM cards from a tracfone to any other phone. you can't even swith SIM cards from one tracfone to another.
