Lost original cd

I'm afraid it's not available as freeware but it can be bought used for 25 cents + 3.99 postage from http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B0001IQNBG/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&condition=used
It's not intended for use on windows 7 probably because it was released before windows 7 was created. However it is compatible with windows XP and programs on windows 7 can be run in a windows XP environment if there's a problem running it on windows 7.

Install the program as normal. If it fails to start or there is a problem with it, right click on it's icon and select "Properties" from the menu. Click on the "Compatibility" tab. Tick the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" by clicking on it. Click the drop down arrow beside it and select the version of windows in which you were running it before or select "Windows XP Service Pack 3" It should run then.

I hope this helps you.

How do I install 3D Home Architect to Windows 7? Disc one will not install, Disc 2 will.

I moved my offices about 2 years ago and lost all of my original CDs in the move. The one I miss the most was for my 3D Home Architect Deluxe 3.0. I really don't want an upgraded version unless it operates the same was as the early version I have. Does anyone know how I can get the CDs to load to my new computer? Thanks

I have the 3d home architect deluxe 3.0. i can't install in a new pc. it's says windows 95/98/me &windows@ 2000. i just bought the pc this year.

Robin,

That is a very tall order. All the current versions of Windows will not accept 3d Home Architect. And only the older versions will. No one can do anything about it. Sorry about that. Older software is not compatible with current OSs.

I would like to install 3D Home Architect 3.0 Deluxe on a computer running Windows 7. I've tried a few fixes I found on-line w/o sucess. Is this possible? If so, how? Many thanks.

1. Change the Settings of the Program:
  • Start
  • Control Panel
  • Programs
  • Run programs made for previous versions of Windows
  • select "Next", "Not Listed", "Next", "Browse" and locate 3DHOMEV3.EXE on your HD.
  • select "Open", "Next", "Try recommended settings", it will pick the recommended settings, select "Next

2. Copy missing dll's:
  • Search for the following files in the 3D Home Architect Installation CD and copy them to C:\Windows\System
  • D3DRM.DLL
  • D3DRM8F.DLL
  • D3DRM16F.DLL
  • D3DRM24F.DLL
  • D3DRM32F.DLL

Hopefully this will help you too! Good luck :)
