We have a Lexmark T630 and are experencing a black line on the right side of the copy from top to bottom. This started as soon as we replaced the old toner cartridge with a new one. What can be down to fix the black line? Is the new toner cartridge no good because this did not occur with the old toner that was replaced

Try testing with the old cartridge if possible. If not i still would replace the cartridge. any time a problem arises after a cartridge replacement it is normally the cartridge

Lexmark t630 prints ink on right side of paper

there are typically a few causes of this.

1 - low toner

2 - charge and transfer rollers need to be replaced

3 - high voltage power supply is failing

the first 2 can be checked and fixed very easily

take the toner out and give the toner a shake and replace into the printer.

remove the toner, drop the front door down a couple inches and you will see the charge roller attached to the 2 arms drop down from the top of the printer in the toner bay. if the roller is yellow or orangish it needs to be replaced because the roller should be gray in color. hope this helps!

Just replaced an OEM T632 with a reman. Black line down the left side of page. And it's on the back of the page also. Any suggestions

probable build up on the toner drum or a "sticky" spot on the silver bar on the toner drum, leading to build up of toner at that spot. Take the toner apart and clean.

I am getting 241 paperjam error in my lexmark t630 printer can you please resolve the problem

Remove the back rear door. Then remove the 2 screws holding the redrive in place. After doing so you can see a metal bar running left to right that has a small white or opaque roller on each side. just to the outside of each of those rollers you will see small black flag sensors. Chances are, one of them has fallen out or gotten stuck in the open position, or pinned down. These are page exit sensors. Correct there position and reset the printer.

Hello i have a lexmark t630 and when it prints out of tray 2 it says change tray two and beeps. It will work normal if you hit the select button. What could it be?

the printer is telling you that the tray is reporting the wrong size paper. print the network menu from tray 2 if it prints out smaller than the page it will be reporting smaller than letter. if the bottom line of the outline is missing its reporting legal size paper. if you are running lettersize paper in the tray check on the left side of the tray half way down the drawer you will see a plastic snap in plate with 3 fingers the bottom 2 should be sticking out for letter size paper. you only have to be one of the small adjust teeth off to make the third finger stick out and report the wrong size paper this is a very common issue. look at the metal fingers that stick out of the frame of the options tray to make sure they are uniform and straight. if the fingers are set right and not damaged then the logic board in the tray assembly will have to be replaced

Printer smears l h side of envelope Not in printed area

The problem you are experiencing is caused by the way the text is formatted in most word processing documents. By default envelopes are printed not in black, but a dark gray. This confuses the printer and causes it to use the color cartridge to process gray instead of using the black cartridge. You can fix this problem with one of 2 ways.
Please select the "Black" only option following the steps given below:
1. Click on "Start," "Control Panel" and click on "Printers and Faxes."
2. Right click on the "Lexmark printer icon" and select "Properties."
3. Select "Printing Preferences," click on the "Quality/Copies" tab and choose "Print Color images in Black and White."
4. Select "OK."
You can also change the color of your text to a true black in your word processor. This will require you to resort to the word processor's documentation and help files.
Both of these settings will cause your printer to use the black cartridge instead of the color. If either one of these solutions solves your problem, it means your color cartridge needs to be cleaned or replaced. If you feel that the color cartridge should not be out of ink please try the following:
1. Go to the "Lexmark solution center." This can be done by clicking on "Start," go to "Programs" and Lexmark printer group. Click on the "Lexmark Solution center." Next click on the "Maintenance" Tab.
2. Select "Clean and Fix Horizontal streaks." This will produce a printed page.
The colors that you should see here are black, yellow, magenta (a reddish purple) and cyan (a dark sky blue). You should notice the diagonal lines above and below the solid horizontal lines. These diagonal lines should be solid from left to right with no gaps.
If there are gaps in the lines or the print diminishes across the page, you should run the "Clean Print Nozzle" page a couple more times to try and clear it up. If you still have gaps at the top and bottom, you should "wick" the cartridges by following the steps given below:
1. Please open the "Solution center" again and go to the "Maintenance" Tab.
2. Select "Install color/black cartridge" and remove the cartridge or cartridges from the printer.
3. Get a damp paper towel.
4. Set the ink cartridge right side up on the damp paper towel so that the ink nozzles are against the towel and hold the cartridge in this position for about 15 seconds.
5. Now wipe the print head (on the bottom where the ink comes out) across in one direction only (left to right) until it looks clean.
6. Next dab the cartridge on the towel to make sure that the ink is flowing.
7. Snap the cartridges back into the printer.
8. On your computer, select "Old Cartridge install."
9. Repeat the "Clean Nozzle Page" one more time. If this fails to address the problem the entire procedure may need repeating.

Lexmark T630 frozen

Try to unplug the interface cable from the computer and power up the machine. It is likely the RIP card aka the controller card.
There are two types of controllers for this printer, non-network and network. Here are links to where you can purchase them:

T630 printer jam

The jams are caused by the fuser assembly (the orange wheel is the pressure roller in the fuser), you will need to replace it. To remove it, undo the two screws on the redrive (plastic cover at the rear of the printer) and remove, then there are two screws holding the fuser in one either side and a couple of cables to unclip. REMEBER THE FUSER GETS VERY HOT and care should be taken.
