Epson Aculaser C1750N printing black

When a color printer prints all black, it means the printer is putting either just black on the page, or all colors which appear black. The first step is to figure out if it's just black, or all colors. You can print a half page by opening the printer during a print. Then look at the page to see if there is any color in it. Try rubbing some of the toner across the page to reveal colors.
If the problem is black only, then try replacing the black cartridge. If the black toner doesn't fix it, then it may the the black laser or control module.
The all colors are on the page, then you probably have a bad control module.

How to reset counter workcentre 6505dn?

Try this link:
Read the Billing Meter The total number of printed pages can be reviewed at the Printer Control Panel, on the Configuration Page, and in CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS).
Three meters are available:

  • Total Impressions
  • Color Impressions
  • Black Impressions
The billing meter counts the number of pages that were printed properly.
  • 1-sided prints, including N-up, are counted as one impression.
  • 2-sided prints, including N-up, are counted as two.

NOTE: During 2-sided printing, if an error occurs after one side is printed properly, it is counted as one.
  • Color documents converted using an ICC profile on applications with the Color (Auto) setting can print in color, even if displayed in black and white. The data prints in color even if it seems to be black and white data on the Display Screen. In that case, the number of Color Impressions is increased.

NOTE: Grayscale images printed with the composite black setting count as color pages because color consumables are used. Composite black is the default setting on most printers.
  • When printing automatic 2-sided printing, a blank page can be inserted automatically depending on the settings in the application. In this case, the blank page is counted as one page.
View the Billing Meters:
IMPORTANT: The Bill Meters track the total number of pages printed for the life of the printer; it cannot be reset.
To view the total number of pages printed:
  1. Press the [System] button on the Control Panel.
  2. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button until "Billing Meters" is selected, and then press the [OK] button. The Print Volume Report will be printed.
  3. Press the [Down] arrow button to scroll to the required meter. The number of printed pages is displayed below the name.
  4. Press the [Return] button to exit the Billing Meters menu.

Deskjet 1050A is not printing black. Help?

Hello,

The black ink cartridge is cloged or empty. Try to refill it in case of empty, or clean in case of cloged ( left the printhead for 1 hour in clean solution or in hot water if you don't have )

All the best !

Hi. I need to make default setting to print grayscale. Kindly give me the steps. Thanks

Color/black mix
This item allows you to configure printer settings to optimize printer and cartridge performance for the printing environment. If the printer is primarily used for black printing (over two-thirds of the pages are black only), change the printer settings to MOSTLY BLACK PAGES.

Setting the color/black mix
1. Press Menu to enter the MENUS.
2. Press to highlight CONFIGURE DEVICE.
3. Press to select CONFIGURE DEVICE.
4. Press to highlight SYSTEM SETUP.
5. Press to select SYSTEM SETUP.
6. Press to highlight COLOR/BLACK MIX.
7. Press to select COLOR/BLACK MIX.
8. Press or to select the desired option. (Select MOSTLY BLACK PAGES)
9. Press to select the option.
10. Press Menu.

Select MOSTLY BLACK PAGES if you print mostly monochrome print jobs, or a combination of color and monochrome print jobs.

Hope it helps! Good Luck! Thanks for using Fixya!

In the printing preferences you need to select Black and white.

1. open the document you want to print
2. click file
3. click print
4. select printer from list, then click on preferences
5. look around the pages.

In Color tab I found a print in Grayscale - this setting will print the document in black and white colors, the pages may be diffrent on diffrent printers. look for black and white setting or Grayscale.

Won't print in color

All cartridges are new...report shows 0 pages for yellow left yet all others added at the same time show thousands of pages left. Everything printed is in black with no color. BTW: I have 3,000 pages left with black cartridge and the display says I need black.

What should I do?
