If the wireless router is already set up and running and other people in the house are able to access it, then all you need for your new computer is a wireless card or a USB wireless adapter.

Install the driver and the wireless card / adapter, then look for the name of your wireless router in the available networks that it displays and just connect to it. Find out the password from whoever set up your wireless router.

Good luck and post back how you make out.

I can not connect to xbox live. I just got the card today and im trying to hook it up, but it keeps saying "can not connect" go to support

It sounds like your internet connection is the problem. Ensure whether your internet is wireless or wired that it is connected properly.

If wired that it is plugged in both your xbox and internet modem, and that it is not the ethernet cable itself. (they can stop working for one reason or the other).

If wireless that your wireless adapter on your 360 is plugged in all the way and that the information in your xbox network settings is all correct.

Cant get it hooked up to the internet directly or wireless

If you had it connected by wire, check the side of the computer for a switch. This will torn on your wireless connection.

Sierra Wireless AirCard 595U And PS3

I understand that you want to connect the PS3 using the Wireless card and NETGEAR card. Please note that the setup you have will not work for internet access. You can not configure the Air card to work with NETGEAR router. you need to have wih a broadband connection available for this router to connect to internet.

Once you have the router configured with Internet access then you may either connect the PS3 wired or wireless to the router, like you connect a desktop or laptop to the router.

Wireless Problems!

The computer looks for the cable because wireless is not working.

If wireless card is usb try removing laptop battery, unplugging power adapter and wifi cards, connect in five minutes and see if it works

If it still does not work, reinstall wireless card drivers.
If you have a disk reinstall them from disk.
If you lost the disk download drivers from the Internet, post model on fixya to get the link.

If the wireless card does not work after reinstalling drivers then it is probably faulty.

Note: if you use laptop internal wireless, usually you need to activate a switch to get it working.

Wireless internet

dont need to
mini pci cards or cardbus cards are expensive
any USB wireless adaptor will plug n play to your pc, more reliably than a card starting for ~$20
