I have a jet 3 ultra and send to my country is chile, Chile's electricity is 220 volts, then went to buy a power transformer as used here in is 110 volt. at the store told me that if you have transformer from 110 to 220, 4 amp. but tell me how many watts is the electric chair. you can buy at your local electronics/electrical store by the way what is the current in your country? if 220 volts just by a step down transformer to be able to work your 110 v fan...if 110 volts already why you need to put transformer if only plug and play...

There are products called Step Up transformers/Step Down (Voltage Converters) that can be used. We use these For our 220VAC Australian manufactured lasers when we need to run them in a Dr.'s office that only has US 110VAC.

The voltage that a set uses for power cannot be changed in most cases--if the set uses 110-120 Volts for power and you want to use it somewhere with say 220 volts--you buy a step down transformer which will convert it down to the lower voltage---if going from a source of 110-120 to a 220 source you buy a step up transformer.

If you consider doing this the first thing is SHUT THE MAIN BREAKER OFF. Use an auxiliary light source to see when working in a dead panel. you would need a step-down transformer from 220 volts to 110 volts. Also you need to consider the Frequency as USA uses 110-115V 60Hz and many countries around the world use 220-240V 50Hz. In addition you need a physical wall plug adapter so you can plug the power cord into the wall. These are not very expensive but get the proper kind. Well, as a rule for electronics:
The United States and Canada use 110-volt electricity.
Most countries outside North America use 220-volt electricity.
Unless your appliance is dual voltage, you need to use a "converter" or a "transformer" to change the 220-volt electricity into 110-volt electricity in order to use a 110-volt appliance.
If your appliance is dual voltage, you can switch it to work on 220-volts, without a transformer or converter.

HOWEVER

Desktop units have a selector switch for 110 / 220 volts., which is done away with in the case of laptop one's which sense the input voltage and regulate accordingly.

I think your main concern is just that you have an adapter for the plug to go into the wall outlet.
