I have a electrolux Pronto 2 in 1 and the suction really never seems strong plus the brush in the base doesn't turn and the vacuum has been plugged in for two days. how can I get more suction and make the brush turn?

Are the brushes in the base of the vacuum spinning? You wont get much suction from the base of the hoover if the brush bar isn't working?

Lie the vacuum on it's side and turn it on. If the brushes aren't spinning then your belt has either come off or broken. I suspect this is the cause of your problem.

check that the contacts are connecting and are clean of debris. Check the end cap bearings ... and replace the belt even though it may not be broken. Put a drop of sewing machine oil (no more) in each end cap bearing.

this sounds like your vacs dust passage from the rotary brush to bag is blocked ? you can diy this if you turn vac over to show the brush and covering cover you will see cover is held by some screw/bolts ? remove these and cover then the brush assy is slotted in place either side on bush/bearings and the drive belt is around the brush memorise how it fits! then gently/carefully lift brush out the belt will create spring action once brush removed you will see where the dust travels thro an arpeture on the belt side of vac this usually is where blockage is clear it out and any other within the area of brush then reassemble and check vac

You have broken the rubber belt that drives the brush. Flip over and remove the old belt and replace it with a new one.

There is no replacement for the dust container in these units. You would have to get an entire handvac which costs more then a full unit.

Belt needs to be replaced, it has stretched to the point that under load, it won't turn the brush roll like it should, so I would advise replacing the belt. And while you are doing that, check the brush roll and make sure the ends turn freely, if not, then replace it also. Then check the dirt inlet while you have the brush roll out.

They aren't quality machines, they are made by Eureeka, not Electrolux. Aerus/ Electrolux is really the way to go!
