Faxing from the 926 is a pretty straight forward process.
Put your document into the document feeder (or if is only one page, put it in the scanner area)
In the menu arrow down to FAX in the menu, enter the number you want to fax to, and push START.
That will scan the document, dial the number and send the fax.
There are additional options for faxing (like delayed fax, and a number of other options which can be found in the owners manual)

I would go into the setup on the fax machine itself and look at the configuration. If you cannot fin anything set it back to its default settings.

I have the same problem, but where do you put the phone number?
The above does not work. I can get the document scanned, put in the number and try to send the fax with Dell PC Fax, but always get no dial tone. I can call the number and get the fax dial tone. What am I doing wrong.
