Have you tried to go through the Tools, then options sections on your internet page? From there select options and go to advanced, this will allow you to set-up with no proxy, and if that doesn't help, e-mail your internet provider, and they should provide you with the appropriate number configuration to plug into this area.

What is the default ip address for powerconnect 5212

You must assign an IP address to the switch to gain management access over the network. You may also need to a establish a default gateway between the switch and management stations that exist on another network segment. You can statically configure a specific IP address or direct the switch to obtain an address from a Boot Protocol (BOOTP) or Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server when it is powered on. Valid IP addresses consist of four decimal numbers, 0 to 255, separated by periods. Anything outside this format is not accepted by the CLI program. notice.gif NOTICE: By default, the IP address is assigned to VLAN 1 through DHCP. If you select the bootp or dhcp option, IP is enabled but does not function until a BOOTP or DHCP reply has been received. Requests are broadcast periodically by the switch in an effort to learn its IP address. (BOOTP and DHCP values can include the IP address, default gateway, and subnet mask).
To display assigned IP settings using the CLI:
  1. From the Privileged Exec or Normal Exec level mode, type show ip interface and press <Enter>.

The assigned IP address and subnet mask displays.

  1. From the Privileged Exec mode, type show ip redirects to display the assigned gateway IP address. Press <Enter>.

The following example displays IP settings assigned by bootp or dhcp using the CLI.

Console#show ip interface

IP address and netmask: 10.1.0.1 255.255.252.0 on VLAN 1,

and address mode: User specified.

Console# show ip redirects

ip default gateway 10.1.0.254

Console#
Before you can assign a static IP address to the switch, you must obtain the following information from your network administrator:

  • IP address for the switch

  • Default gateway for the network

  • Network mask for the network

To assign a static IP address to the switch:
  1. From the Privileged Exec level global configuration mode prompt, type interface vlan 1 to access the interface-configuration mode. Press <Enter>.

  2. Type ip address ip-address netmask, where ip-address is the switch IP address and netmask is the network mask for the network.

  3. Type exit to return to the global configuration mode prompt. Press <Enter>.

  4. To set the IP address of the default gateway for the network to which the switch belongs, type ip default-gateway gateway, where gateway is the IP address of the default gateway. Press <Enter>.

  5. To save your configuration changes, type copy running-config startup-config and then press <Enter>.

notice.gif NOTICE: Only one VLAN can be assigned an IP address. If you assign an address to any other VLAN, the new address overrides the original IP address. The following example shows how to set a static IP address using the CLI.

Console(config)# interface vlan 1

Console(config-if)# ip address 192.168.1.5 255.255.255.0

Console(config-if)# exit

Console(config)# ip default-gateway 192.168.1.254

Console(config)#
To configure the switch for DHCP or BOOTP:

  1. From the Privileged Exec level global configuration mode prompt, type interface vlan 1 to access the interface-configuration mode. Press <Enter>.

  2. At the next prompt, use one of the following commands:

    • To obtain IP settings through DHCP, type ip address dhcp

    • To obtain IP setting through BOOTP, type ip address bootp

  3. Press <Enter>.

  4. To save your configuration changes, type copy running-config startup-config, and then press <Enter>.

How do i manually configure and ip address for the mitel 5224 ip phone?

Press and hold the up arrow.
Configure Phone - Yes
network parameters - yes
press no until you see "change" and press yes.
You will need to set the following appropriately.
IP address, Subnet address, default gateway, ICP controller address, TFTP address, VLAN ID, VLAN priority, DiffServe Value, DNS address.

Normally it is not necessary to set the phone static except for testing. If your network and DHCP server is set up properly, you are not gaining any benefit for setting it static.

Also, you should find out what the other IP addressess are that are static on the Voice subnet. Along with that, you will need to know the DHCP range. These are needed so you don't assign a duplicate IP address to your network. Assign the phone to the wrong device could do great harm to your network. Assign it to use the same IP address as the phone system and none of your phones will operate.

Use with caution,
Mark

If you know ip address of printer then you can access your printer with web interface for that type your printer ip address in internet explorer address bar.
then you can access configuration of printer.
But if you don't know ip then you need to check network configuration menu of printer .
For that press menu button of printer then enter in network settings then you can know the printer ip address.

Dell 5100cn change ip address

Changing Printer's IP Address isn't that complicated. There are two ways on how to change the printer's IP Address.

If you know the old printer's IP address, you can simply type that old IP address on the Address Bar of your Internet Explorer or any other browser (ex: http://192.168.1.101). It should redirect you to the printer's User Interface. From there you can go to Network then TCP/IP settings. You can change the IP address of the printer. Make sure to use an IP address within the same range of your network.

The other way to change the printer's IP address is by its own Menu/Settings on the printer's LCD panel.
On your printer, press Menu then got Settings. Look for Network or LAN settings and click on Advance. Select TCP/IP and click on Edit. You can now change the IP address of the printer from there. Click on Done or Save after that.

Note: Make sure the use the correct IP address within the network's range.

Cannot Use Wireless LAN

the problem is common, you need to set up the psp manually and not let it obtain an ip address automatically. the easiest way is to find either your router ip address or your pc's ip address e.g if your routers ip address is 192.168.2.1, then your pc's allocated address will be 192.168.2.2, so set your psp address to 192.168.2.3. you will also need to set the gateway address, this is your routers ip address(the one you type in your browser to get into the routers settings).e.g 192.168.2.1. the DNS setting will be 255.255.255.0, all other address settings required will be the routers ip address eg 192.168.2.1.

Putting right the ip address ?

Before you proceed you need to know the static IP, Subnet Mask and Gateway address for this printer. Once you have them: -Enter the menu mode by pressing the + button -Press the + button till you come to the Network Menu. -Press the Enter button. You should now see TCP/IP. Make sure it says Enabled which is the default setting. -Press the + button till you come to IP address then press the Enter button. - IP addresses (for now) consist of four octets or four groupings of three numbers such as in this example *192.168.001.123*. Using the + or - buttons (+ counts up 0,1,2,3?.; - counts down 255,254,253?..) you are going to set the number of the first octet or in the case of the example *192*. Once you?ve set it correctly hit the Enter button. -Do the same for the other three octets. Hitting the Enter button after setting the fourth octet will set the new IP and take you back to the TCP/IP menu. - Press the + button till you see Subnet Mask and press the enter button. - Just like the IP address the Subnet Mast consists of four octets. Set the value to you needs just as you did with the IP address. Again when you hit the enter button after setting the fourth octet you will be taken back to the TCP/IP menu. - Again press the + button till you come to Gateway Address and hit enter. Enter the Gateway IP address exactly like you did when setting the IP address. Don?t forget to hit the enter button to set the address. You should now be at the TCP/IP menu again. -To exit the menu press the On-line button on the printer. Your printer should now be configured with you IP address, subnet mask and gateway address. As an added check I would go back into the menu by pressing the + button, going into the Information Menu and printing selecting the Print Menu Map option. Verify the setting we just made with what is printed out at the top of the page. If everything matches you?re ready to go! Let us know how it goes and please don?t forget to rate this posting.
