Stops at drain cycle and then won't spin

Bosch WFG 2020. It's a fab machine, but yesterday it did this and I can't get it to drain or spin. I had to manually drain it with a cup. Then I put another load it. I washes a treat, but same thing. Won't drain or spin. Even if I stop it and put it on spin cycle.

Alas, what to do. Buy a cheap spinner? I like the machine.

Yes it will start from the beginning of a cycle, and there is no sound which is unusual.

It just won't drain or spin. April

Thanks for all this. I will check it and get back to you!! A

Not sure how to test this. It has pumped out the water actually. It wouldn't either drain or spin.

Sir,

Common problem with this otherwise tragically flawed washer: it will tumble and pump out the water in the tub, but it will not spin. Usually, the problem is the speed control board. However, in accordance with the Ichiban Law of the Prophecy, you should use your meter and do a few tests to prove that the board is bad or not?

Call your nearest customer service centre for replacement of the Speed control board or check with the Speed control board is working or not. ok

Thanks
Good luck

Does the unit start atleast? does any humming sound come from unit?

If there is a drain issue, sometimes there is an obvious
    solution.
Check the drain hose for any kinks, as well as checking any lint
filters in or on the drain hose. Is there a lint sock on the end that's
full? Perhaps the drain line itself is plugged. You will want to make
sure that the house drain system is not backed up or plugged. Always
make sure that the washer drain hose is above the level of water in the
    drain tub.

If you think your pump may be jammed, drain out your tub and
    remove
the hoses. Look inside the hoses and see if there are any obstructions.
Feel around inside the pump inlets for anything that may be jamming the
pump itself. You can also use long-nosed pliers to feel around inside
the pump for any items that may be causing a jam. If you haven't found
a jam, and you still believe there may be a jam in the pump, you can
completely remove the pump from the washer and inspect it more closely.

    thank you

I have a Bosch WFMC330SUC that does not end the cycle, it just keeps starting over. I assume it is a bad control board, but they are $300+ and I'd probably replace the machine instead. Any suggestions?

Hi wwwylie,

First check the Drain Pump filter, as the last 2 cycles of a machine is Drain & Spin, and if the Drain pump cannot drain the water, the filter may be clogged and the cycle won't progress to spin.

Please follow my below Tip on how to do this:

ACCESSING, DRAINING & CLEANING THE DRAIN PUMP FILTER...

Kind Regards

Our bosch washing machine is about 9 years old and won't drain properly. The "end" light flashes as if the drain is blocked but it's not. If we manually drain the machine we can get onto...

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
As you do not mention 'filter' I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Here are my complete and generic guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)

If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and most are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Bosch WFF 2001 has finished a wash cycle but the water will not drain or spin away, cannot open the door. There is no apparent filter trap to empty, help!

Do the following.

  1. Switch off the machine, unplug or disconnect the mains power to the machine and turn off the water supply to the machine.
  2. Remove the access panel on the lower right front of the machine.
3. Remove the filter and make sure that the filter is not blocked and is clean and clear of all debris. Clean as required. Note that depending on the machine type you may get a lot of water coming out of the filter when you remove it if the machine has not drained successfully. Note that if the machine has stopped and not fully drained then you may be able to drain out the excess water by removing or disconnecting the waste hose and laying it on the ground in a tray. It may take a few minutes to empty but it will save a small flood.
4. Proceed by checking the drain hose for proper connection and kinks and make sure that it is not blocked.
5. Also check that the main waste drain pipe, if you use one, is not blocked and clean if required.
6. Reconnect the power and switch the machine on.
If the problem persists then do the following.
7. Switch off the machine and disconnect the mains power.
8. Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure it is operational.
9. Remove the connecting hoses, and expect water to drain out and make sure the pipes are not blocked with debris or any object blockage.
10. Makes sure the pump appears clear and that the impeller looks in good condition.
11. Reconnect the hoses and then reconnect power and switch the machine on.
12. If problem has not been corrected, then remove the pump and check that the drive coupling to the motor is OK and that the motor turns OK. If all is well then replace the pump.

Bosch classixx 1000 washing machine - stops on spin

Washing machine stops at the spin cycle - light flashes. Have to drain water out manually. Happened last week and was then able to run an empty rinse cycle. Machine worked normally for another week. Same problem today but have had to drain water manually from the drum after trying an empty 90 wash and rinse cycle (both stopped on the Spin and flashed). Any ideas? Thanks. x
