Tanks are no longer available. Search for used units on your local craigslist.com. This model was previously made by Holmes and tanks were the same on HM3500, HM3501. Search "Holmes humidifier" then search "sunbeam humidifier" on your local craigslist.org

most bigger towns will have one or two show up. Keep an eye out. People who move to a house (or install) a whole house humidifier sell their old units. We have two of the exact model and I bought a new in box 3501 from a Craigslist posting in September 2013!

What happens if the humidifier runs out of water? Humidifier is new and working fine. I Does the humidifier shut off automatically when it runs out of water?

The humidifier has a float valve in it much like a toilet tank does. If the water gets to low, the float valve should allow more water to enter the tank automatically. When it reaches the proper level, the float valve stops the water. The water line (either copper or plastic) coming into the humidifier should have a shutoff valve on it. Make sure that it is turned on.

I am not sure what it would be called, but it is like a rubber badder inside the water tank that holds the water in when you flip it over to put it in. It is about an inch diameter. I rigged it to work...

I HAVE A HM 5700 HUMIDFIER AND NEED A NEW CAP FOR THE TANK CAN YOU HELP ?

I ordered 2 replacement caps from here they were the cheapest tat I found http://www.jardenstore.com/productdetails.aspx?BrandId=494&pid=1783 but they seem to be out of stock at the moment These http://www.appliancefactoryparts.com/humidifiers/holmes/holmes-water-tanks.html are 3 dollars more here hope this helps

Hi, unfortunately there's nowhere to purchase a replacement tank online. You can buy a new humidifier from Walmart for $25 when they replenish their stock:

Have been looking for just one of the tanks as the rubber stopper rotted away. Do you know where I could just buy one tank?

you check at local hardware stores. or if your in canada check with canadian tire. if nobody has it locally. you might have to call the manufacturer to order it directly from them.

Holmes HM4600 Humidifier LEAKING - - HELP

well since you just purchased this item, you should be able to return it for exchange, and it should still be under warranty, but if thats not doable, then it sounds to me like its a O-ring that is bad if the tanks are removable, best bet though is to exchange it, look at your home owners paperwork, to see about the warranty, more than likely your covered, hope that helped,

Holmes HM4600HD humidifier tank

Mine dried out too. I could not find where to get the rubber valve seal for the tanks. Holmes does not list the part and when I called the rep told me they didid not stock the part. I solved my problem by purchasing thin rubber washers from Lowe's. They are 3/16 X 1 1/4 X 1/16 thick. The 3/16 hole in the center "snaps" on over the end of the plastic plunger just like the original. I had to trim the outside diameter with scissors to about 1" or using the old ones as a guide. Cost me $0.67

Either you have no wick/filters or they are installed incorrectly. Tanks should empty within hours.

After scouring the INTERNET AND FINDING PLENTY OF SITES THAT WOULD SELL ME THE WHOLE CAP FOR 24.00. I MAD MINE USING SOMETHING FROM ace hardware THAT COST 2.50 Small suction cups with the hook [CDBL-7500S11] PART NUMBER 7500 .CAN BE MODIFIED INTO MAKING YOUR OWN GASKET. IT WORKED FOR ME ..REMOVE HOOK FROM SMALL SUCTION CUP. cut off nib with sharp pair of scissors. THEN DRILL HOLE THROUGH CENTER OF CUP WITH 7/64 DRILL BIT. re insert plunger part of cap through cap with spring and re- attach suction cup instead of gasket. MINE WORKS FINE ON A HOLMES 3700
