My Doro 341 gsm mobile phone won't send texts but will receive. Can you please explain why ?

If your Doro 2404 is not sending messages, there are several things you can try to resolve the issue.

1. Check that your phone has signal and is connected to your mobile network.
2. Verify that your account balance is up to date and sufficient.
3. Make sure that you are sending messages to the correct contact and that the contact has a compatible phone.

Hello Carol
The first thing to do is contact your Phone Service Provider and check that you have a text service in operation and that you have credits available. Also International texting needs authorization on most plans.

* try to replace another sim and check if can receive or send calls

* also try the current sim into the other mobile if its working or not...

conclude weather the mobile or the sim had a problem

* also check the signal stability if its ok... might get some network failure if its dropping or

the mobile itself has the problem...

* lastly,try to reset the phone so all settings is refresh,but before doing reset,make sure you back up all important data of yours before proceeding..

Most issues with send texts has to do with the message center number being wrong or not there at all. If it is a number you are looking for try +13123149810 (might be without the "+1")

I had the same problem and came to this site for help but the solutions didn't solve the problem of "cannot send text message" on htc touch hd. All service numbers correct. Went to START/SETTINGS/CONNECTIONS/ADVANCED NETWORK/SMS SERVICE then changed from "gprs" to "gprs preferred". Double checked and had reverted to "GSM" but sms now works - finally!!! Hope this helps.
