    I've checked ebay, amazon, radio shak and just googled model, ac power cord, replacement cord, and all variations - I'm not coming up with anything. thanks,

    Hi,
    Sorry to that.
    Why not just try to repair it electronic local shop. It is just power chord ( and it should be easy to modify by an electrician).

Power supply was cut
you can buy a new power cord or you can use another wire to replace the cord. just buy the same size then you will need to remove the rear cover to access the internal. and then the old cord must be removed from the ac terminal pin and the assembled wire with plug that you buy can be replaced. you can directly re soldered the end of the ac wire at the pcb for ac supply.

You need an 18 to 20 volt AC adapter for this Laptop.
You can get them on ebay for really cheap,
If in doubt buy a universal adapter which will fit almost any laptop or lcd monitor.

LOST POWER CORD
I need a new ac adapter and I sent an email to [email protected] which is the customer service for the company that makes the PDV-709 dvd player. They responded within 1 day and gave me the instructions as to how to order one from them and the price ($20) etc. They require a money order sent to the address below.

Ac/Dc adapter
Sorry, join the burned club. I have same problem. NO ONE has this power cord. 3.6v 3.5A is not even close to what anyone else has on the market. Radio shack, electronic warehouse's, Wall Mart, Best Buy, none of these guy's have it. The cord will have to be directly ordered from Cyberhome China. Good Luck!
My port. cyberhome dvd is in the trash dump, thats how I solved the problem. A good lesson learned.
