Sir, i have sony vaio E SERIES VPCEA23EN. Suddenly it stopped working. problem is after switching power on it boots to open either normally or launch startup repair (recommended). In either case it won't move except blue screen with pointer stuck on screen. kindly help. i have got recovery disks on dvds prepared immediately after purchasing this vaio laptop. And also it is under warranty. pl guide me.

you can't actually uninstall windows 7, but you can install windows xp over it, simply choose the disk partition with win 7 on it during the set up process. the only problem is you will lose everything on that partition unless you can hook the disk up to a different computer and pull the information off

it is easy:right click on the file , selct open with ....., and also selcect a "v" mark at the bottom to be allways open

What happens if ypu try to start in normal mode? You can force a normal boot by presing F8 when the PC is booting to see the advanced startup options. If you are getting a stop error then please get me the error code so that I can help you troubleshoot.

It could be that the laptop disables it's battery when you connect it with the power supply. When the power supply then fails it won't have enough time to switch back to battery. You'd best first try another power supply, and post back here if that doesn't help.

Hm, maybe your bios battery is dead. Try to buy a new one, and boot than boot it. A bios battery is usually under the keyboard.
