Hi Paulahogan_1, We have had the same F08 error code with our Westinghouse oven. The repairman said its because of two holes drilled in the upper casing of the oven which allow steam to get through to the motherboard - messing with the thermostat I think. The quick fix was pulling out the oven unit by undoing two screws, then undoing two more screws to lift up the motherboard, and filling the two holes with silicone. However, the steam coming through over the last year or so has caused some corrosion of the motherboard, so they're going to replace that given that the oven's still under warranty. Sounds like your oven might have the same problem, but may have suffered more corrosion over time, thereby messing up the controls? Good luck! Hopefully you've already had it fixed by now :)

Westinghouse 662 Oven temp is wrong, by about 100 degree's.

would check to make sure both your broil and bake ignitors are working. On some, but not all, both come on to preheat, and then the broil shuts off. Another, and more likely culprit would be the temperature sensor located in the oven itself. Its the silverish metal rod protruding from the back wall inside the oven. It could be bad and not converting heat/elsectrical signal properly causing the main control to regulate the temperature incorrectly. If the sensor you are talking about is the oven temperature sensor than its just as easy, since you are behind the machine already, to take off the back panal, unplug the sensor and measure resistance there. Either way the resistance should read around 1099-1100 ohms.even a small margine off can cause a major temperature difference.

Hi,

Please check the user-manuals section within the support page of the New Zealand Westinghouse webssite. You should be able to find your manual there if you search used it's model number.

Thank you.
