In my sony dvd writer(DRU 8705), the prblm is that when i write any data frm my HDD into a dual layer dvd, the burn process succesfully completes but after that when i try to run the datas such as games, movies etc. frm that dvd the datas do not run properly( in case of games after half installation process it shows some files are corrupt and in case of movies, the movies do not run at all, here again it shows that some files are corrupt). However, my pc is virus free( i've scanned it several times). I've XP SP 3, 2GB ram. I've nero 7 on my pc. Pls help and also suggest which is the best version of nero to be used in xp. Thanks, Subha.

Hi ,
For video , use NERO Recode
For data , use NERO Burning Rom
If the issue persists , try using burning with another unit and compare the results . If you are still stuck , change software . If this still doesn't work , install Malwarebytes and make a full deep scan of your system ( http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html )
One of these solutions should help .
Best regards .

Sony DRU-810A fails while burning second layer

Hello,

The Problem Is That You Do Not Have Enough Space In Your Windows Drive.

If You Have Just about 1GB Still May Be Not Enough According To Your ROM

You Should At least Have 4.5GB Free In Your Windows Drive For Disc"s to Perfectly Burn.

My SONY DRU-810A DVD Writer doesn't work with TDK DVD+RW Disc

some dvd brands dont work with all dvd writers, so your option is to try another make, if that works ok then it's not a writer fault it is just that the media make is not compatable. if you start to see problems with all makes of disc then the writer laser is faulty and a replacement drive neccasary.
