Hello -- You will need to UNLOCK it so it works with any SIMM card.
Phones are locked (16 digit number) to keep them with the supplier that paid for that model. ..eg.. Orange Uk will want me to stay Orange and then use Orange abroad at 4X rates.
Press (star) (hash) 06 (hash) this give give you the IMEU (PUK) number (16 digits) This is the phones ID and will transfer the phone number to another SIMM & Network.
There are loads of sites with the 3 steps of unlocking use (www.google.co.uk) and search "unlock nokia n342"
