sometimes if you dont put the right code in all the functions wont work.factory radios nowadays go thru the ecm (electronic control module) of the veichle.meaning if your radio was stolen and put into another vehichle it would be locked, and a code needs to be put in.unplug the battery and radio and go to this site to find your code.http://gsmhosting.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=350260
Does radio show "CODE" in the display? Call dealer or look in your owners manual. 4 digit code will get it back. Always save the "memory" in the systems when changing the battery. Use an external 12 V. source to keep computer, clock and radio memory. Losing memory may cause the engine to NOT idle and run poorly as well. A 9 V. battery in the cigarette lighter is one way.
Does it do this on all radio stations? Some stations don't broadcast that information, some do. Also there may be an info button somewhere on the radio, try pushing that to see if it comes up.
have you subscribed to the satellite srvice that your radio has ? sirius or xm radio? the only way to get these channels is to pay a monthly subscription
