Kenmore Top Loader Washing Machine

HI!

My washer, mentioned above has stopped working. It filled up with a normal sized load and just stopped working. The unit is getting power, however nothing is occuring. I moved the clothes around thinking maybe it was off balance and tried to restart...nothing.

The MOD # is 11024632300 and the serial # is CR3872120.

I cannot get the water to drain, no power seems to be getting to it and the unit is less than three years old. ANY help you could provide would be appreciated!

I have a similar problem with my washer. I put in a load of clothes and went on to do other chores. When I came back, it had only filled up with water, wouldn't agitate, spin or drain. I checked the cycle switch, the door switch, and nothing. I've checked the fuse box, and finally ended up taking all clothing out and checked to see if drain hose was clogged. It was clear.

Other than that, I haven't tried anything else unless I had some documentation on it.

Also check the lid to make sure the tab has not broken off that actuates the lid switch, your model may not have a tab on the lid.

ask more questions is lid switch is functioning,

I have a Kenmore top load washing machine and it is dripping water inside. Do i need to replace a valve or a gasket?

Until you find out why it is dripping turn off the water behind the washer. Then I would go and search online typing in the browser search "Kenmore top load washing machine model no _____ leaking - what is causing this?" and hit enter. You will get lots of leads. I did a quick search just on Kenmore top load washer leaking and found this video.

Hope it helps.

Are you happy with the Kenmore 800 4.0 cu.ft. top load washer?

For large capacity, a front loader would be your best bet. An HE2 by Kenmore should be sufficient. If a toploader is overloaded, it's more likely to do damage. Also a Whirlpool Duet would work. Whirlpool makes Kenmore, so shop for the best price, (they are the same inside)

Trying to figure out Cu. ft. capacity

hi wanda, most top load whirlpool units, they make the sears kenmore models, are around 3.0 cubic feet.
its not that important for a top loader, but when going to a front loader thats how they rate them.
what i would recommend is you buy a unit that will do the laundry that you will need to do for the next 15 years.
what i mean is if you have 2 or more young children, that you will be doing laundry for the next 15 years, then a full size front loader would do you good. size 3.5 c/f or larger, like a whirlpool he4 or he5.
if it is just for 2 people then a smaller unit would be better, like a whirlpool duet or sport model.
the reason for the choice is a front loader needs to be filled up for it to work properly. doing smaller loads in a front loader will cause them to shake and not work as well.
now be ready as the new washers will cost about 1,000 bucks.
another suggestion for 2 people would be the whirlpool cabrio top loader. i like them alot and they have very few parts to fail and have a good reliability.
good luck and happy shopping.
p.s. remember sears will match prices and give you 10% off the best price!!
