Make sure that the device is not locked or write protected in any case and also that the files are not stored as read only....If deleting the files by cable computer connection make sure that the cable in properly attached to the device as well as the p.c as accessing the device can malfunction and cause such errors if not plugged in properly

You can attach the unit to your computer and then delete some information like extra voices, languages, help files, pictures, etc. You can also delete from the gps menu old locations and favorites.
Make sure you make a copy of everything first before you delete anything.

My samsung mp3 player is frozen on. It won't let me do anything, including turn it off. If I press the reset button will that erase everything on it? Anyone know how to fix this??
Reset the unit by holding down the REST button until the unit shuts off by itself.

Resetting the unit will not delete files off of the player

Stop a nav route
Once you pick your new destination, the unit will ask if you want to delete the previous destination. If you just want to delete the route, hit the menu button, go to destination, and it's the bottom right selection.

Loading Screen Freeze
  1. Remove the keypad (for TI-Nspire) or the battery door (forTI-Nspire CAS) and remove at least 1 battery from each column ofbatteries. After 2-5 seconds, reinsert the batteries and turn the uniton. This will cause the unit to reboot the operating system.
  2. Holddown [Home] [Enter] [P], and while holding these keys, press [On]. Thedevice will boot up as in the previous reset, but will display a menuwith the following options. Please try options 2, 3, and 4 in thatorder.

    1. Cancel - The most non-intrusive reset option; no changes are made, the unit restarts. 2. Delete Operating System – The operating system will be deleted without deleting any documents. 3. Delete Document Folder Contents – This will delete the user’s documents, but will not delete the OS. 4. Complete Format – This will delete the OS and all documents for a total erase of memory.
    Note: TI-Nspire family model options 2 and 4 above require that the OS be reinstalled. The reset menu will only display if the unit is off and batteries have been removed/replaced as described above.

Casio em-500 deleting mail programs!!!
I believe they are in unit's ROM, which is non-reprogrammable. Hence, you won't be able to delete anything from there. On the positive side, they don't occupy your main memory, so there's really no harm in letting them dwell in your PDA. :)
