I get Error when I start my camera in Photo mode only. This has occured since it was new but only a few times, but now it happens almost at every start. I can take a few pictures and then There is Err in the display. What to do?

  • denny_josefs Jan 23, 2011

    Thank you for your advise!
    I tried to take pictures when the camera had a temperature of about 10 degrees of Celsius, but it didn´t help. I got an err in the display after a few seconds.
    I wonder if it is possible to figure out what is wrong if I had the "2720 adjustmentprogram" , and therfore I `m interested in to buy such a program but I don´t know where?

Hi,

The Err message displayed on the Camera screen when the Camera is hot or kept in a hot environment.
To resolve the issue turn off the Camera and allow it to cool, If the Err message displays again, then remove the battery and kept the Camera in cool condition for 1 to 2 hours to cool down the Camera. Remove the power cord if connected to the Camera.
This should resolve the issue.

Thanks for contacting FixYa.

When i take a picture a pink/white blob in the centre occurs. If i point the camera at a bright light and take some photos this dissapears, but if i dont take a photo for a few minuets it comes back. This...

Some symptoms of a defective CCD (Charge Coupled Device) include distorted images or abnormal colors, scratchy purple lines, blank or black pictures, and/or black videos with good sound being recorded on the camera's flash card.

When a picture is taken, the CCD is struck by light coming through the camera's lens. Each of the thousands or millions of tiny pixels that make up the CCD convert this light into electrons. The number of electrons, usually described as the pixel's accumulated charge, is measured, then converted to a digital value. This last step occurs outside the CCD, in a camera component called an analog-to-digital converter.

In order to correct this issue, the repair facility needs to replace the CCD. This is not something you may do on your own; check this article for additional details: Bad CCDs. This, isn't a good new, but hope helps to solve it.

The Malfunction:
Among the CCDs used in the affected products listed above, it has been confirmed that, especially under high-temperature/high-humidity environments, the internal wiring may come undone in some places.

If this defect occurs, the signal is not output from the CCD correctly when in shooting mode, which results in symptoms like the following in captured images. These symptoms can be confirmed on the LCD monitor. The same symptoms may also occur in recorded images.
* images do not appear
* images appear distorted

Additionally, cpould read this article about recall and solve for free (not allways): Cameras-With-Defective-CCDs-Can-Be-Fixed-For-Free

Hope this helps.

I have gigabyte gl 81915 motherboard on my cabinet. but some days ago it's display check sum error default loaded so how can i solve it give me solution?

The CMOS checksum error occurs when the CMOS battery is worn out and the CMOS data gets corrupted. Replace the CMOS battery, this battery most likely a CR2032 lithium coin size button battery - check to make sure before you purchase.
After replacing with a new battery, then go to the BIOS configuration and set the Time

New photo files write over existing files.

How large is your memory card? If you're shooting at the full 9mp and highest quality, that takes up a lot of room on a small card.

First a black screen, then a lens error

For the lens error:

For the black pictures (after you've corrected the lens error):

Note, if you're going to try fix 5a on the above blog page, do it with the camera turned off to lessen the chance of damaging the lens.

Low battery warning

What type of batteries did you buy?

For digital cameras, you want to use batteries with high milliamp hour (mah) rating: "2500 mah" if they are rechargeable.

If you bought regular batteries, you want to use good quality. Look for the "e2" or "better for digital equipment" type.

Does the camera have a DC power plug option? Try taking pictures with it plugged in if it does. If it still malfunctions with power right from the wall, then you bought a bad camera.
