GPS SYSTEMS HAVE A TENDENCY TO LOSE CONNECTIVITY TO SATILLITES BECAUSE OF BAD WEATHER, CLOUD COVER, TUNNEL ENTRANCE, BAD OR NO POWER, BATTERY LIFE HAS BEEN EXPENDED, HAZARD OF ELECTROMAGNETIC INTERFERENCE TO GPS SYSTEMS, AND IMPROPER VEHICLE MOUNTING AND HAND HELD POSITION. FREE SOLUTIONS 1. ALWAYS PLACE YOUR GPS DEVICE IN THE UPPERMOST PORTION OF YOUR VEHICLE SO THAT THE GPS SIGNAL MAY EASILY LOCATE YOUR DEVICE EVEN WHEN THE WEATHER IS BAD 2. KEEP YOUR BATTERY CHARGED ONLY WHEN IT NEEDS IT MOST AND AVOID CHARGING OFTEN 3. IF YOU OVERCHARGE YOUR GPS DEVICE, YOU WILL EXPERIENCE BATTERY LEAKAGE, WHICH CAN EAT AWAY AT YOUR CLOTHING, DESTROY YOUR DEVICE IN SECONDS, AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO YOUR VEHICLE SEATS 4. YOUR GPS DEVICE HAS A TENDENCY TO FREEZE BECAUSE OF THE SIM AND MEMORY CHIPS LOCATED WITHIN IT 5. YOU CAN FIX THE FREEZING PROBLEM BY REMOVING THE SIM CHIP AND MEMORY CHIP AND RESTARTING YOUR SYSTEM 6. OTHER FREEZE PROBLEMS OCCUR BECAUSE THE DEVICE IS COLD WHEN IT IS KEPT IN THE VEHICLE AND CHIP CREEK OCCURS WHERE THE DEVICES MICROCHIPS BECOME LOOSE AND TIGHTEND BECAUSE OF WARM AND COLDER AIR FLUCTUATIONS. IT IS BEST TO KEEP THE DEVICE IN A PURSE OR ON A TABLE WHERE IT IS NOT SUBJECT TO CONSTANT TEMP. CHANGE 7. PREVENTION OF ELECTROMAGNETIC INTERFERENCE IS BEST SOLVED BY: interference from devices located nearby, and even a radio turned on and located really close to your unit. This is normally known as electromagnetic interference to electronics and is very common

How do I reset the security system on a 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora

If the security light is on you can try the 10 min. relearn procedure . Turn the key to run ( not start ) an leave the key on for ten min. If the light goes off in ten . min. turn the key off . Then start the vehicle . If the security light doesn't go off there is a hard fault an you will need to have it diagnosed by a repair shop that knows how .

My ipod screen just stays White. My daughter can play Music on the chargeable station. But i turned it off and on and it goes to Clear White Screen everytime.

Try to reset the ipod:

- iPod Classic: Press Menu & Center button at the same time for at least ten seconds
- iPod Touch: Press Center button & top button at the same time for at least ten seconds

Apple logo will appear, and the iPod will be reset (you won't loose your music)

Pioneer Avic-F700BT worked perfectly fine for 7 months but....

Hello!
My pos just did this today after I got in a hot car (had windows up for security).
Symptoms:
Briefly displayed the PIONEER default splash screen, LED lighting was the default ... light/bright pink (to match pioneer?).
Then screen goes black, then backlight gets fully dimmed and LED dims to darks white (R,01G,01B01)

Wouldn't really respond to anything... but plays CD in background.

I had a brainstorm while sitting in my car at ACC (ignition) and reading the lame online TS guide.
I turned my car to ON and put the gear shift in REVERSE.
The screen flashed to the password, and flashed black again....
Some how the system stablelized after some time and I resurrected it*.

* After tinkering I found ALL settings except the NAV data/settings had been lost.
In addition I believe corruption has occured in the memory holding the voice data. TTS... that phone thing voice command wont display when i press down on the Multi-nav? dial. Also system crashes when I try to access language settings. Sometimes a Windows CE error message bled thru reporting a fatal application error. Illegal operation request...

Hope this helps. I think my POS is going back to cartoys before my 30days is up.
Pity

Monitor screen goes out (black) 2 seconds after turning on

Your site is extremely misleading and fraudulent. I was under the impression that I would at least get a hint at what might be a problem instead of you folks making me wait to get a money for something answer that you could have displayed on your main page. Places like yours have no place on the internet and I'm going to find out what I can do to report you.

Thank's for nothing

Monitor goes blank less than a second after turning on.

YOU NEED TO HAVE THE INVERTER BOARD REPLACED.
YOU CAN USUALLY FIN THEM ON E BAY OR YOU WILL HAVE TO TAKE IT IN IF YOU DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE REPLACING IT YOURSELF.

No screen displayed when on

I have the same problem. I call pioneer in ohio and said the cause of this is the Flex cable. The cable goes bad and had to be upgrade. The only problem is that the unit had to be send to Ohio.
