  • Plug an Ethernet cable into the "Ethernet" or "To Computer" port located on the back of your Internet modem.

  • 2

Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into the WAN (Wide Area Network) port located on the back of the Linksys router. The WAN port is segregated from the four LAN (Local Area Network) ports also located on the back of the router.

  • 3

Connect the power adapter plug into the power port located on the back of the Linksys router and then connect the other end into a power outlet. This powers the router on. It does not have a power switch.

  • 4

Plug an Ethernet cable into one of the LAN ports located on the back of the router and then plug the other end of the cable into the Ethernet port for the computer you want to tether to the router. If you want all computers to connect wirelessly, skip this step. If you have additional computers that you want hard-wired, repeat this step for each computer. Again, you can tether four computers to one router.

RE: Friedrich SL28N30B Has Faulty LCDI cord ( will not set -reset ). When plug in blue power light comes on then goes out. Cut cord and installed standard 3 prong male Plug end. Same results- power...

It could be that the faulty cord burned your built in gfi internal switch must like a gfi breaker that gets burn off and never resets . Replacing the cord as you did is a smart move since I would never place an appliance on a gfi receptacle .

I am trying to convert a three wire prong to 4 on my whirlpool dryer.

Inside the back of your dryer is a strip where the electric cord fastens on, behind a squarish panel about 5" X 5" sort-of.
There should be 3 screws/nuts in a row of the cord to hook to.
The right and the left screw/nut is HOT, for the black or red wire on a 4 wire cord. It does not matter which gets black and which gets red, they are both HOT. These wires are attached to the FLAT lugs on the plug end of the cord, NOT the "L" shaped or the round lugs.
On a four wire cord, there are also a white wire and a blue or green wire. These are both ground wires. The white wire goes to the middle screw/nut on the 3 connection bar of the machine, and the blue/green wire goes to the body of the dryer itself. (Use one of the little screws along side the opening for the wire.) The white wire goes to the "L" shaped lug on the plug, and the green/blue wire goes to the round lug of the plug.
    Be blessed.

My dryer cconnection is to high for my dryer cord to connect

There is a cpl things that you can do. The best way is to go and buy about 3ft of wire, a plug that fits the outlet, and a receptical that will fit the dryer plug. And make a short 220v extension cord. Or you can get enough wire to replace the other one and a new plug end. Place the plug end on one end of the wire and you will have to get terminal ends like the ones on the cord now. And clamp them on the other end of the wire and install it on the dryer. Make sure that the center wire goes in the center. And the other two dont matter. However if the center wire is at the top on the outlet? Then the black wire goes on right.

Has a cord that has the same type of connection on both ends

Look on the back of the emachine, there should be a blue connector with 15 holes in it. Thats the VGA connector and thats where the other end of that cable goes.
