Keypad outside not working Properly

We have a 2 year old Sears Craftsman Liftmaster and now the keypad outside will not work. The vehicle door openers work, the opener on the wall inside the garage works and the outside keypad will close the door, but will not open it from the outside?

Have you replaced the battery in your keypad? That should take care of the trick.

    Have you replaced the battery in your keypad? That should take care of the trick. The reason it works to close it is because there less traffic is the way when teh door is closed it need to have more power.

A wireless keypad will not work with your opener. Your opener is pretty old and the new models are much safer. You might consider replacing the entire thing.

Call around to the Chamberlain dealers in the yellow pages. They might have one in stock. The part number is 66LM. They are expensive though. $55.00. You might consider replacing that old opener you have.

The inside button is hard wired. The keypad is a small radio transmitter. If the battery in the keypad is good and it doesn't work when you put in the code it has probably just quit.
