I have bought nokia RM 969 model phone in india, I am now travelling to bankok and then to Australlia. Is it going to work there. I have activated international roaming for my sim card though.

It depends on what network you are on in India. Depending on what their roaming package is like it may be cheaper to simply buy a local SIM card when you go to Bangkok and Australia.

The phone itself;f supports GSM 800/1900 and will work on most 3G networks in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Asia-Pacific.

I have a Nokia E63 cell phone. When i put the sim card, it says Sim Card not valid. I'm using this phone in fiji.\r\n Can you please let me know how to solve this problem.

Thanks for visiting FixYa!

To my knowledge, there are two cellular service providers in Fiji. Both operate on the 900MHz band for cell phones. As you didn't include the name of your cellular service provider, I can't tell you whether they have roaming agreements in Fiji (If you are just visiting and have service in another country.)

Digicel http://www.digicelfiji.com/
Vodaphone http://www.vodafone.com.fj/

If you have the Nokia E63 your phone operates on the following frequencies:

2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network UMTS 900 / 2100
OR UMTS 850 / 1900 for the North American version of the E63.

You may be able to obtain service in Fiji by simply purchasing a Pay As You Go type SIM card and using it in your phone since your phone supports the frequencies of the local cellular providers. But, you'll need to contact one of them to find out what their sales policies are.

AND, you may need to have your phone SIM unlocked to use a SIM card other than your current service provider. (If you have a PayPal account you can usually purchase an unlock code from eBay. Just make sure you purchase an unlock code for the cellular provider you currently use.

Click for eBay unlock codes Nokia E63 > http://shop.ebay.com/ctg?_kw=E63%20unlock%20code&_ds=1&_fcid=1&_localstpos=30303&_sc=1&_sop=15&_stpos=30303&gbr=1

One other thing, you may want to contact your own cellular provider to see if they provide roaming in Fiji. If they do, they may be able to provide you service by adding it to your current account.

Hi,

This is your network operators issue as there are only few operatrs who have launched 3G in india you will have to check each of the operators by changing the sim.

In Mumbai you can check Vodafone,Airtel,MTNL
in Gujrat Tata docomo is best.

The MMS settings (for example, MMS access point) are correctly defined in your device.

1. First confirm with your operator or service provider about the following things:
  • Data plan is activated on your SIM card.
  • The MMS settings (for example, MMS access point) are correctly defined in your device.
  • Roaming is activated when you are not in your home network.
2. If possible, insert another SIM card in your device to isolate network problems.
3. If possible, check your SIM card functionality with another device.
4. If your device supports dual mode, change to GSM mode and retry.
5. Restore the factory settings.
6. If the problem persists, visit the nearest Nokia care point.

Nokia 6131 Voicemail symbol but no voicemail!

The solution is to take your sim card out of the phone, insert another sim card and switch on. After a few minutes remove this sim card and re-insert your original sim card. The voicemail symbol will now be removed.

Please help i wanna unlock my n73

You're probably trying to use a SIM card from a network not supported by the country you're in.
Some networks don't have a roaming agreement between two or more networks service providers to enable the users of one service provider to use their services.

Purchase a new SIM card from a popular network in that country. Ask them to unlock your phone at the same time, because it might be locked on the original network, like Orange, Vodafone, t-mobile etc...
