To delete multiple messages off your phones inbox is quite simple. Simply go to the phones menu, select the message icon, then you go to the inbox, select option and then scroll to 'mark' ans select it, then you select the messages you want to delete from the inbox, then you press the option button again and select delete marked, it will delete all the messages that are marked.
For the phone that is hanging, it will be good if you try the restore factory settings of the phone by going to the menu, select the settings and select restore factory settings, then it will ask for the phones security code, once you enter it, it will restore the phone to the way it was when you first bought it, then your phone will no longer freeze, or better still you can flash the phone with the best appropriate software and cable for the phone.
First you can do is delete all unneeded messages on your sent items folder, this also can be done on your messages in inbox and outbox. ou can also delete some music files or received files, or some photos, you can transfer them to a PC or another phone. After that restart the phone and see if that helps. If it does not, try restoring to factory setting by typing *#7370# at standby screen or going to settings menu and select restore factory settings. It will ask for a security code which is 12345 by default, unless you have changed the security code. If none of this steps did not work, a re-program or re-flash of the phone's firmware is the last solution, aside from hardware fault. So, a visit to a Nokia Care center would be advisable. Hope this helps, thank you for using Cell Phone
Good Day,
As with your problem the only way to reset your security code is by using special programs and special gadgets, such as JAF Box and software, wherein only qualified and certified cellphone repair technicians have.
There are some free softwares out there, but i would not recommend using them (for legality issues) and most specially it may do more harm than good for your problem, for it requires technical knowledge just to make the softwares work.
All you can do is to bring the phone to a repair center duly authorized by Nokia, or better yet at Nokia Care centers.
There are two ways you can use the phone again
first is the technician to "READ" the codes and manually resetting it to 12345-with this procedure, no data or saved items such as inbox messages sent items, would be deleted
The second option is to force "RESET" or restore factory settings, where the phone would be in its original state, as if it is just bought from a store, but be warned that using this step would permanently erase all data that is stored in the phone(contacts, messages, tones etc.)
I hope this enlightens you regarding your problem.
Thank you for using fixya.
here is what you can try to do. You can delete that message at the delete message option at he message menu.
If still cannot be deleted you can restore your phone to original setting. You can locate this menu at the phone settings then Restore factory settings. You will be ask a security code (default is 12345) and will restore your phone after.
Warning: Restoring your phone can erase all your files save in the phones memory including the contacts.
Hope this will help you. Don't forget to rate me. Thanks...
try first deleting or erasing some of your stored messages, example sent items or inbox old items.
you can also try erasing received file or moving them to the mmc location.
also you can restore the phone factory settings, by going to settings and select restore or reset factory setting, but before doing that, be sure to BACKUP all your needed data.
the first thing you can do is try to erase or delete unwanted messages from your inbox, outbox, archive or sent messages folder, if that doesnt do it good, try resetting the by looking for RESTORE FACTORY SETTING,in the settings menu, enter 12345 when prompted with the security code, if you havent changed your security code changed.
Go to message - inbox - pick the old message, press option then delete. All the old message will be erased. If its Nokia go to message - delete message - select the from the options (All read, inbox, drafts, sent items). Thanks
