Write protection means you can view the information stored in it but you can't write and transfer the information to it.
For removing the write protection follow the below mentioned steps:
1. Right click on the USB stick
2. Go to properties and uncheck the read only or write only protection option.

2.Open "My Computer" and search the list of drives until you find your USB drive letter.

It has password protection. Open My Computer on your PC, insert the USB drive, open the password file, enter your password, then select the option to remove password protection from the USB drive. Found this on Kingston site, doesn't help much but may point you in the right direction.

Unfortunately this unit does not have any security or write protection feature. If you receive a write protection message with this drive, check for the following:

1. Verify that you are allowed to write to removable storage devices. There may be a security setting in the OS that disables write access to removable storage devices.
2. Make sure you have not enabled write protection on the drive by using a third party software.
3. If none of the above apply, the drive may be defective.

On USB stick, there is a "Lock/Unlock" slide bar on the opposite end of USB port. It uses the symbols of a "lock" and an "open hasp lock" to show that the device is "locked" (write-protected) or "unlocked" or not write-protected. remove the lock
