Remove the RAM and start the PC again. If you get the same three beeps then you're probably looking at bad RAM. If however, the PC makes no noise, or other beep code, then it's not the RAM and in that case it may be the graphics card. In this case, you'll need to do a reflow/resolder of the graphics chip with a hot air gun.

If this was helpful and informative, please give it a Thumb Up. Thank you.

Open CPU, remove RAM and put it back, If you have Grapic card then remove that and put it back, then reset the BIOS by removing the CMOS battery for 1 minite or more and put it back. and connect all cables, etc etc and power on the PC. best of LUck

Try This:

Once you are on this site choose the Operating System (XP,Vista,Win7) and losnd the sound drivers. If you do not see any sound or audio drivers download and install the Chip set drivers.

Computer start but wont Boot up.

Here are a couple steps you can do to verify something didn't come on correctly.
- Verify the monitor cable is connected tightly to the monitor and PC.
- Verify the power cable is plugged in.

If both of these check out is there a little LED light on your monitor that is on?
If not swap it out with another monitor and see if a different one works. If so we have a bad monitor.
If both do not work you may have a video card issue. Most EMachines come with a onboard video card which is bad news. If you have a onboard video card you will have to verify the warrantly though Emachine and get it fixed. Good luck and I hope things go well.

Emachine w2686 no display when boot up

Couple things to check. First, check with different monitor. Their monitors are usually build by KDS and I think there was a bad series out there. Also check for any beep codes through speakers on startup, this can tell you bad ram or bad video out. Also try unplugging computer and removing CMOS battery inside (watch like battery). Lastly, If non of the above, a bad processor will allow the computer to come on but no beep, no boot, no nothing but fans and green power light. Hope this helps a little.....
