The Nissan dealership installed a Audiovox Car APS901N Long Range Remote Start System in my Murano and failed to provide us with instructions for how to use the remote start. No one at the dealership knows how to use this remote start as well. Can you provide me with basic instructions on how to operate the remote start?

Pawel Nietyksza has no clue ,don't wast your time looking for a programming button, there isn't any. You need a factory or some other type of professional grade scan tool to program the key for anti-theft system immobilizer.
If your 2006 Murano won't start because of a problem with the key fob, you may be able to start it using the mechanical key that is hidden inside the key fob.
To use the mechanical key, follow these steps:
Locate the small release button on the back of the key fob and slide it to the side.
Use the key to open the driver's door.
Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position.
Press the brake pedal and then push the ignition switch to start the engine.
It depends on many things - mostly the range of the system itself and especially where you located the remote antenna. Some installers don't use the antenna and that will limit range severely. Most manufacturers want the antenna routed up the windshield pillar and mounted near the top of the windshield glass. This gives best reception since glass does not hinder the RF signal. OF course, a weak battery in the remote can cause range issues as well.
IF RANGE IS NOT IMPORTANT I SUGGEST A AUDIOVOX AS9076N . ITS AN ADD ON REMOTE START WHERE YOU WOULD PRESS LOCK THEN UNLOCK THEN LOCK AGAIN ON YOUR FACTORY REMOTE AND THIS WOULD START THE CAR. I BELIEVE THE IGNITION KEY HAS BUILT IN KEYLESS ENTRY BUTTON ON IT ALREADY. SO WHY CARRY ANOTHER REMOTE? MOST OF AUDIOVOX MIDRANGE SYSTEMS HAVE THIS OPTION FOR ADD ON REMOTE START SYSTEMS WHERE YOU CAN USE THERE REMOTE OR TIE IT IN WITH YOUR EXSISTING REMOTE. OTHER UNITS WILL HAVE DOUBLE LOCK OPTION TO START CAR. OR TRIPLE LOCK OPERATION.
what model is the audiovox alarm system? If the alarm is not remote start ready, then you will need to install another alarm system or a stand-alone remote start system.
