I have Belanger taps all over the house and there is not much hot water coming out of my belanger shower taps(2 bathrooms), tech said I need to change the cartridge, would this fix the problem? All of the other taps are working. I have replaced my kitchen cartridge, but that was because it was leaking. Please help. Thanks.

It's weird that there's no water coming out of taps from the same brand even though they're in 2 separate bathrooms. I'm having a similar problem, except my shower heads are different brands, and there's water coming out of the sink. Maybe we should both hire a plumber to see if they can find out what's going on. http://www.rooterproplumbing.com/ca-plum...

The only thing to do is to replace what was suggested and see if that improves the situation if you still have the old leaking one , that would be good enough to prove a point

Check the hot water shut off valve, when the washer fails sometimes the valve itself sticks closed, and sometimes the washer breaks up and clogs water passageways down stream...
To test, pull the hose off of the hot water shut off valve, open the valve and see if you have water flow. (route hose into a bucket, you need more that a small amount of water.....
If you have good water flow from the shut off valve, then you likely have a particle that has lodged in the passageways of the faucet. Reverse flow with air pressure and see what you get out....

Please help, water not hot in shower

If it is hot in the kitchen, then once the water has reached the shower it should be hot. The leads me to believe that the issue is with your shower mixer unit. Nearly all are thermostatically controlled.

Or, if the heater is downstairs and the bathroom is upstairs, you don't have enough hot water pressure. You need a good plumber with a pressure tester (called a manometer).

I have hot water coming out of house taps but not from out of the shower, we do not have a bath tub. there seems to be no obvious leaks. HELP! what can i do i have 4 stinky kids that badly need a shower

The tap fitting on the shower may have failed. Some of the modern fittings have a more complicated internal mechanism than the traditional taps and can fail rendering the tap inoperable. Turn off the water at the mains. First take off the tap handle and then with a spanner carefully unwind the tap spindle. Be very carefull not to use excessive force in case you damage the pipework behind. If it does not come ralatively easily leave it for someone else. When you have this out have someone crack the main valve and you should have hot water coming out. If the fitting itself is the problem you may be able to take the spindle and washer out of a standard brass garden tap and use it as a temporary fix untill you get a propper replacement. Just another thought, you may have an isolation valve on the hot water line to the bathroom. Could a kid have turned it off?

Shower problem

This must be a joke because there is no way the shower is connected to your faucet. the faucet on you vanity is connected directly to your hot and cold water supply. And only by opening the hot water side of the faucet can you get any hot water.out of the faucet.

No cold water from bathroom tap

Sounds like you need to replace your shower valve, especially if this is the only fixture in the house being affected. You could try to replace the cold water cartridge first. Hope this helps
