Not clear picture in zoom while still photo taking

Generally speaking, unless you are attempting some sort of special effect, you zoom in before taking the photo. If you mean how do you operate the zoom control to achieve this, I would expect this to be covered in the manual.

Night photos and full zoom will cause your camera to choose a long shutter speed. You need to use a tripod for those pictures.

Rather than taking a picture of a picture, maybe scan the pictures you want to upload.

Sounds like camera shake. When you use the zoom you get more camera shake. Try taking pix without zoom and see if you still have blurred photos.

Use only optical zoom and use a tripod.

The resolution of the photo you take determines how grain shows up as you zoom into the Photo, So taking a 10 megapixel photo on optical zoom or no zoom will give you a sharper picture than when you use both the optical and digital zoom to grab your picture. The digital zoom uses the centre of your CCD picture imager rather than the whole CCD so with less elements to your picture when you take it gives you blockiness sooner when you zoom in on the image. I am guessing your friend has digital Zoom turned off in settings to prevent the Graining showing upon magnification. Good light and a steady camera will give you the best results.

Three things: First, it is possible to disable the digital zoom feature on your camera. See the attached picture for instructions on how to make sure that digital zoom support is turned on. Second, digital zoom is only supported when you have the LCD turned on. Third, digital zoom isn't really a zoom. It is simply taking a smaller picture, and then stretching it out. Instead, you should take the picture with no zoom, then crop the photo using your PC to get it to the size you like. Keep in mind that digital zooming and cropping are technically the same thing. Both lower the amount of information you are capturing, and both will reduce the overall quality of the photo when you print it. I recommend Preclick's photo organizer (for Windows). It sonds like teh shutter is stuck open. If the camera is indera year old it is probably still under warranty. Take it to an authorized repair shop and they will most likely repair it for free.

The W12 must be a European version of the W1 or W5 camera. The W12 is not available in the USA. It sounds like you have the "digital zoom" feature active. Digital zoom lowers the quality of the photo. It (in effect) reduces the megapixels applied to an area of a photo. Digital zoom should not be used if you want quality results.
