If I were you, I would download a program called Malwarebytes and run it on your machine. You may have to go into safemode to run it. Install it and let run, then remove anything it found.

Yahoo has prevented us from having 2 Instant Messaging capable programs open and active at the same time.
For example, Yahoo Messenger with Yahoo Mail or Yahoo Web messenger, your mobile phone, Ipod, or other computers etc. etc.
Yahoo classifies all these programs as "Different devices or locations". Navigating from one to the other will close one program and you may get the notification message you refer to.

OR someone has hacked into your account- Report to Yahoo and Try to Recover it-Send report Politely and concisely.Do not try to Send More report for Same cause..

On more than on PC? Who else is accessing my same account?

Hi - Are you getting a message saying "You have been disconnected from chat because you have logged in from another location or device"
Since Messenger Version 9, Yahoo has prevented us from having 2 Instant Messaging capable programs open and active at the same time.
For example, Yahoo Messenger, Yahoo Web-messenger, Yahoo Mail, your mobile phone, other computers etc. etc.
Yahoo classifies all these programs as "Different devices or locations". Navigating from one to the other will close one program and you may get the above notification message .
Note. Hitting the X on the Contacts page in Yahoo Messenger does not sign you out of Yahoo Messenger, it merely closes the contacts page. Like WLM you have to close the program by right-clicking the icon in the system tray and selecting 'Exit'
You can have Yahoo Mail and Messenger ( or any other progam ) open at the same time as long as your status is "Offline" in Yahoo Mail. Use the drop-box next to your name and "Sign out of chat"
Your online contacts will vacate the inbox until you make yourself "Available" again.
If you feel that your account is being used - Exit all Yahoo applications - type your Username in here and hit 'GO'

Yahoo sayi been sign out because i sign in on a different computer or device

Thats happens for exactly two reasons
1. (the most common) when u are Online on Yahoo Messenger and you are checking your email in a browser.
2. Someone else uses your id and password to log on to your account.

If that happens try to change your YM password, and be very carefull where u are using the account. Never check the box "Remember my id and password ", do not log on on unsecure/unknown PC. ( some hacking software may be installed on unknown/unsecure PC like keylogger who hunts for any accounts logged on the victim PC)

Is it possible to connect MS Outlook to yahoo.com?

yahoo's UK page has instructions on this and here they are: id rather paste theirs than type my own...

  1. From the Tools menu, choose "Accounts."
  2. Select the "Mail" tab.
  3. Click the "Add" button.
  4. From the Add menu, click "Mail."
  5. In the text box labelled Display Name, type your name and click "Next."
  6. In the Email Address box, type your Yahoo! Mail address (be sure to include "@yahoo.com") and click "Next."
  7. Under "My incoming mail server is a…" select "POP3."
  8. Type "pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk" in the Incoming Mail (POP3, IMAP, or HTTP) Server box.
  9. Type "smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk" in the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server box.
  10. Click "Next."
  11. In the Account Name box, type your Yahoo! Mail ID (your email address without the "@yahoo.com").
  12. In the Password box, type your Yahoo! Mail password.
  13. If you want Outlook Express to remember your password, check the "Remember password" box.
  14. Do not check the boxes labelled "Log on using Secure…"
  15. Click "Next."
  16. Click "Finish."
Important: The Yahoo! Mail SMTP server now requires authentication. To turn this setting on:
  1. From the Tools menu, choose "Accounts."
  2. Select the "Mail" tab.
  3. Double-click the account labelled "pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk."
  4. Select the "Servers" tab.

To control deletion of messages from the Yahoo! Mail server:
  1. From the Tools menu, choose "Accounts."
  2. Select the "Mail" tab.
  3. Double-click the account labelled "pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk."
  4. Select the "Advanced" tab.
  5. If you'd like to keep a copy of your email messages on the Yahoo! Mail server, check the box next to "Leave a copy of messages on the server." If you want to delete your messages from the Yahoo! Mail server after viewing them in Outlook Express, don't check the box.
If you're unable to send email, try using port 587 when sending via Yahoo!'s SMTP server. Here's how to make this change:
  1. From the "Tools" menu, select "Accounts."
  2. Select your Yahoo! POP account and click the "Properties" button.
  3. Click the "Advanced" tab.
  4. Next to "Outgoing server (SMTP"), change port 25 to 587.
  5. Click "Apply." Then click "OK" and "Close."
