Jonny, there is a sensor inside your kitchenaid unit. It probably became wet when cleaned. This is actually very common. If you need to use the unit right away, then get a dry cloth and clean out the inside of your unit. The sensor is probably still wet!!!! If you unplug your unit from the wall and wait several minutes before plugging it back in, your unit will reset and work again. Try this and if it does not work, we will try something else to reset it.

    Thanks

Kitchenaid oven racks fall

I am a bit late on this question, but just ended up in a rabbit hole of unanswered Kitchenaid questions

The self cleaning features only serves to keep manufacturers in steady sales of parts. Quite simply the oven can only take those temperatures a few times until they break. The heat burns out elements, damages fans, door locks and worst of all damages control boards which are not far enough from the heat source. You problem sounds like the walls of the oven have buckled in the heat so the racks no longer fit. Too late now, but you should have taken Kitchenaid to court, the oven was not fit for purpose under the description they used to sell it to you.

Never use the self cleaning feature as stated here

https://www.google.com/search?q=self-cleaning+oven+temperature

Never Ever use the self clean feature. We see damage here every couple of weeks. The worst was a burned control board on an oven that all parts were obsolete, so the self clean cost a thousand bucks!

Self-cleaning ovens bring the heat so you don't have to spend hours scrubbing. Traditional self-cleaning cycles heat the oven between 800°F and 900°F, helping turn soil and spills to a powdery ash you can then wipe away. They utilize only heat-no chemicals-and are built to withstand high temperatures. (Says Maytag who love selling elements, door locks and other parts),

I have a GE model jvm1441wd003 microwave that quit heating everything else seems to work normaly lights, turn table, ect. Any ideas Thanks JS Edwards

If there is no heating please do not switch on unless you have confirmed the fault. It is possible that the Magnetron is faulty, the temperature cut off is faulty or the main capacitor is short. It is also quite possible that insect can get into the oven and create soft spots. When you switch on these will create a short and make the voltage jump and in the long run damage the magnetron.
So Remove cover after disconnecting , check for dirt/moisture in the cabin, if so wipe clean and dry, check the magnetron and area clean and use an jet air to clean off.

Now keeping clear of the microwave, switch on, use a cup of water inside to test.
If you notice any sparks shut off as the magnetron or the main HT capacitor can be faulty. replace with same type.
If there is heating without any issues, you can use the microwave safely

My oven is a beko double oven an the oven won't go on,light up or heat up. All the other parts of the oven are working. There's an A flashing up wud that have anything to do with it????

The flashing can be sparking of the magnetron please do not switch on unless you have confirmed the fault. It is possible that the Magnetron is leaking and sparking to the ground. If this was stored, it is quite possible that insect can get into the oven and create soft spots. When you switch on these will create a short and make the voltage jump and in the long run damage the magnetron.

Turns on but doesn't heat only a year old LG LRM1260SW 1200 Watts Microwave Oven

I have had the LG model lrm1260sw microwave for 3 years. Recently it quit heating. I found the problem was the soldered grounding lug connection on the power transformer had lost circuit continuity and failed. One of the secondary coils on the power transformer, red wire / bare copper wire, is connected to ground / chassis. I cleaned the lug connection and added a length of wire twisted together with the bare copper coil wire and soldered to the grounding lug. I then grounded the extra added length of wire to another chassis ground point. Make sure the transformer to chassis mounting screws are tight also. Now the microwave oven works like new again.

Microwave will not heat

If all controls on the panel work fine but the microwave does not heat, then either you have a defective door switch, the smartboard is defective, or you have a defective magnatron. Most likely one of those three.
