SOURCE: iphone 3g is frozen and touch screen wont work

If this unit is jailbroken you may want to do a full restore of the device, you will need to get the Iphone turned on and connect it to itunes, when you get into I tune and you phone is seen, right click on the device in itunes and tell it to restore.
This will reset the phone back to defaults, you will loose most of your data if not all.
If you can't get it to stay on or come on in Itunes then you may need to try this.

Step 1. Turn off your iPhone.
Step 2. Hold down the power and home button.
Step 3. When you see the Apple logo, release the power button but continue holding the home button down.
Step 4. Open iTunes and wait for it to tell you that its in restore mode.

Alternative Method:

Step 1. Connect iphone to USB then listen to the sound when it connect and disconnect.
Step 2. Hold the home and power buttons until hear the disconnect sound then release power button.
Step 3. Wait until you hear another sound then release home button.

My iphone is showing that it is charging but is stuck on 1%

Turn it off and plug it in to charge (do not turn it back on, it will turn on by itself).

My iphone wont turn on after dying

Try a hard reset on the iPhone. Basically all you need to do is hold down both the On/Off button at the top of the iPhone as well as the Home button (the physical round button at the bottom of the screen) for about 10-15 seconds or until you see the Apple logo on your screen. Once the Apple logo appears you can then release the buttons and let the iPhone turn itself back on again :)

Iphone wont turn on!!!

Hi slondon83,

I believe you will have to reflash your device, using the restore feature on iTunes and the CFU mode in you iPhone.

To restore your iPhone, you will have to enter to CFU mode:

1. turn off your phone, or wait it get turned off by itself.
2. press and hold the power button for exactly 3 seconds.
3. whithout leaving the power button, press the HOME button for another 10 seconds exactly.
4. after 10 seconds leave the power button but still, keep the HOME button pressed.

try all these steps, of course, while you iPhone is connected to your computer with the USB cable and the iTunes software is on.

you might be able to do it with this method too:

good luck!

My Iphone

Hold down the top button and the front button at the same time 'til phone powers off.  Then restart the phone.
Its a good idea to turn the phone off each night just to allow it to refresh itself.
Hope all this helps.
