Water leaks on floor, where isthe defrost drain pan? the manual indicates that water might build up in drain pan, the connections with the ice maker are all dry.

The drain pan is usually located closest to the floor - behind the kick space or toe space grill at the bottom of the fridge. Most often the water that collects in it is evaporated by the heat generated by the compressor and airflow from condenser fan located close to the pan.

Make sure the water is coming from the defrost drain hose - not from water sources elsewhere in the fridge (leaking water / melting ice into the fresh food compartment, etc.). If found, take action to correct.

Good luck!

Water collecting under bottom draws inside frig

Hello,

That water is very likely dripping from the freezer because the drain for the defrost is blocked,so instead of the water draining its dripping through the vents down under the crispers. This tip i wrote will help ya to clear that drain to keep the water from dripping through the vents.

We have a toetouch sch40 bathtub drain that leaks. We want to take it apart to check the gasket or put silicone around it to see if the leak will stop but can't take the drain apart.

DONT SILICONE IT what you did not say is where it was leaking. So lets look the two things that could leak.

If we are talking about the water leaking out while you are taking a bath you need to take out the center section of the tip toe and replace it. You can buy a new replacement at any store that sells tubs and plumbing fixtures.

Now one of the things you might have trouble with is getting the tip toe top out. Take a channel lock and grab the whole top now use you muscle. Now turn it counter clock wise it should come out.

Just screw in a new one.

Now if it is leaking under the tub you have to do the same as above and now you have to remove the other section of the drain. You will see a "cross" with the hole that the tip toe screws into this will take a tool called a *********. Just line up the bell with the cross and it to turns out counter clock wise. Clean it and install some new putty and put it back the way it came apart.

Thanks for using us, and be safe while you work

The red arrow keeps blinking and washer does not run, cycle starts then stops leaving water on bottom....

Hello,

You either have a blocked drain line drain pump, or water is in the base pan. behind the toe kick is a base pan that will catch water if the flood switch is activated this condition will occur. I know this dishwasher very well can help you fix it yourself.

I stopper on a garden tub with a delta faucet. The stopper pushes down and locks to stop water. It takes a few tries pushing it down to get it to stop and hold water. What is the best way to fix it or...

In my part of the country, the type of drain you refer to is commonly called a tip-toe drain because you can use your toes to open and close the drain. Their locking ability diminishes over time and use, and eventually won't lock at all. They cannot be repaired, and must be replaced. You must remove the one you have to get the correct replacement because there are variations in the thread diameter at the bottom of the stopper.
You will need to use pliers large enough to grab around the white plastic underneath the top of the stopper that appears to disappear into the drain. Once you have the white plastic shaft secured with pliers, grab the very top (the chrome part) and twist it counterclockwise to remove it. Once that is off you will see a round piece of brass that looks like the top of a very large screw. IT IS! Using a stantard screw driver, again turn counterclockwise to finish removing the rest of the stopper.
A good hardware store should have a replacement for you. Be sure to match up the thread diameter at the bottom of the stopper.
To reinstall, you can reverse the steps or simply thread the complete assembly into place.

Do i use a washer between the tip toe assembly and the tub

Use plumbers putty between the assembly and the tub on top. Use the rubber washer underneath to mount up to tub.
Rubber washer on top may work but due to hot temperature water it would cause the rubber to loosen up and cause a leak.

Water in not coming....

if you knwo the water line to be good, take off the toe kick plate below and find the inlet valve. It will have a connection with 2 wires on it. Pull the connection off and put a volt meter on it. Start a new cycle, and within a minute or 2 you should start reading 120 volts (or close to that) if you get voltage from the 2 wires, you have a bad or plugged fill valve. If you dont then you have bad wiring in the dishwasher, water lying in the bottom of the dishwasher, or a bad control board. Hope this helps!
