The 6A00 is a Canon generic code for paper path jam.
Solution 1: Move the printhead carriage back and forth a few times.
Solution 2: Check the purge unit: Moving the print head assembly will not clear a purge unit if its jammed with paper, paper clips, push pins, screws, cookie crisp, flower bud pods or the like.
Solution 3: Press the ink pads down in the purge unit.
Canon lists the solutions for the error 6A00 as... 1. Press ON/OFF switch to reset the multifunction device 2. Press Stop/Reset and ON/OFF to reset the printer 3. Removing paper jams 4. The MP830 may require repair 5. Unlock the scanner lock switch (MP830)
no need to reset your printer, the things your should do is you just open the over at the back of your printer, then you can see a paper hang on, then please remove it, then try to print, if it does not work open also the tray which is your bond paper stored, just see if there is also a bond paper hang, then remove it, then print again, that the cause of paper jam
6A00 means that the purge assembly, thats the cleaning unit where the printhead parks when off on the right, is jammed and cannot move.Look for paper or foreign material stopping it from moving. Sometimes the squeegee unit needs to be pushed back if the pads get stuck under it.
6A00 is a problem with the sheet feed unit. Follow Canon's suggestion, take it or send the unit UPS to the Authorized Repair Facility. You will NOT be able to resolve the problem yourself.

Try this especially if the printer had not been used for some time.
Switch it off, open the lid and manually (GENTLY!)slide the cartridge-tray to the left. Then you can see if a piece of paper or ink stucks it. Gently degunk the base pad with a little isopropyl alcohol on a Q-tip and ease the mechanism back.
