Our kenmore dryer 600 series,model #110-67622600; ser #MUO91116; type: DWSR-ELE 2406028-CV54 less than 3 yrs old, lite comes when door opens, otherwise no action at all. drum turns manually, no clogs, blocks can be found.

If you have to wiggle the timer knob to make it run most likely you will have to replace the timer & they are expensive. Check all the wires going to the timer & make sure they are not loose & making a good connection.You may luck out I've seen that happen , timers are hard to repair some of them you can't .Hope this helps

look for the safety switch at the Door. Dryer wont run if it thinks the door is open

This sounds more like the heating element, or a thermostat.

If the lid switch is defective, the washer will not function or work at all. It is located inside the washer main housing near the door frame. When you close the door, the switch is activated by an actuator. You have to raise or open the top or front panel of the machine to reach the switch. Replace if found defective.

sounds like start switch on motor bad.

Third from the last letter indicates the year built, which could be 1983 or 2002.
