The head gaskets on the 3400 engines in these vehicles take quite a bit of time to replace. I believe that the shop time called for is 12.8 hours for federal emission vehicles and 14.4 hours for California equipped vehicles. If you're doing the job for the first time it can easily take way more time than that. I don't have a printout of the procedure or the torque specs but would think that you could get a repair manual at a good parts supply store. You also need to replace the head bolts when reinstalling the cylinder heads as they are a one-time use, torque to yield type of bolt and should not be reused as they won't provide accurate enough clamping pressure if reused. Make sure you have the cylinder heads checked over for warpage, wear, and cracks before reinstalling them. Good luck, hope this helps!
