Welcome to FixYa! Before you change your Operating System make sure first that you back-up all of your files. Then for you to change your Operating System to Windows XP, you'll need the installation CD. Once you have an installation cd all you have to do is run it and just follow the instructions. And there you go, you should be able to change it without any hitch. Hope this helps! Thank you for using FixYa!
if you have xp you will need to download microsoft active sync from www.microsoft.com and if you have vista you will need microsoft sync centre, these will be the latest versions and should work fine good luck
Try this : Open your device ( it have 5 screws). Inside next to the sd card reader are two metallic sponges. Take them off ( they are glued on some electronic parts and it's shorting the circuits)
Had the same issue with my Mio P550's using an Airlink680W Wireless N Router and security mode WPA-PSK, TKIP & Password. I had to disable "Block WAN Ping" on the firewall and life is good.
on/off switch in "off" position for at least 30 seconds, then turn it in "on " position, power on and "reset". You'll lose all your data and all the installed programs. Alternative: using the screen options, go to "system info", and choose "hard reset". Beware: pushing the joystick down while doing a reset will get you a boot menu with memory-formatting options. Choose "exit". Otherwise look into xdadevelopers forum (Google it or go to, say, Mio P550 / P350 ROM upload [Archive] - xda-developers ) A good idea would be to backup your data in the first place- just a hint. Enjoy.
