Turning on and off the TV (not cable box) does recharge thescreen and the colors will properly disperse ...
magenta is just a fancy name for pink.... its usually a darker shade of pink not overly dark but not a bright pink that most associate with the color.
most hp printers use the ckmy color format as opposed to the rgb that most are used to. check your other ink levels to ensure that they are at least half full and when you print out a doc or pic requiring red, the other inks will assist in creating the proper shade
Assuming there is ink in the color cartridges and that it's viable, then you need to clean the printhead. There should be documentation for doing this in the software that came with the printer.

Could have a corrupt driver. Disconnect
the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do
both and when the CD software program asks you to connect the printer
to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

an incandesant light above the stones and the camera without the flash should work.. thats how i was able to capture the pink of pink saphirres...and zircons.. hopefully it works for u
