When I turn my Sony Vega Model KV-32HS510 tv on, the standby light blinks seven times, pauses then blinks seven times again. Could you tell me what needs servicing???
The 7 blinks indicate an over voltage condition. The high voltage section has exceeded 33,000V. This is generally caused by a bad regulator. I don't have a listing for your model, but there should be a multi-pinned IC attachd to a heatsink marked STRxxx located close to where the AC cord comes into the set. Post the actual marking here and I'll get you the part number and cost. That is the regulator that may be the problem.

Exactly same thing happens. Standby light flashes but set never turns on. Have tried pulling plug...waited 36 hours first time and it went back on. 48 hours second time and it went back on. Pulled plug when went on vacation and it won't turn on after 10 days! It's only 4 years old!
7 flashes and tv does not come on
I have the same problem on Model KV-36XBR800 s/n9031358 Have been suggested the high voltage regulator, but where to find, cost, how to replace
Sony Wega KV-32HS510 TV Standy by light blinks 6 times - A technician friend of mine, gave me a can of air and said to clean inside the TV. Will this work? He says sometimes the circuits get real dirty, and that the tv won't turn on due to over heating, because of all the dust.
Same Here, waited 36 hours, it fired up. Now it won't. Has a 2003 born on date, bought it in 2004. Flashes six times power on, seven times power off, or vice versa, you cant tell.
