No water flows to dispenser or Ice maker - LG LSC26905TT Side by Side Refrigerator

You have 2 separate valves, 1 for the water dispenser and 1 for the ice maker. (otherwise your ice maker would overflow every time you got water from the dispenser and your dispenser would flow every time the ice maker went to refill.) They are fed from the same tubing.

The cube/crushed ice motor is completely separate from the ice maker itself and should have absolutely no bearing on the water flow.

You have narrowed down the problem quite nicely to the ice maker water valve. There is one more thing to check though, the connector. There should be a multi-contact connector from the ice maker to the back wall of the freezer, usually 6-9 wires. Pull that apart and check the cord side (ice maker side) for any corrosion. BE CAREFUL NOT TO TOUCH THE OTHER SIDE AS THERE IS LIVE 110V!!! If you don't see any corrosion, still try try disconnecting and reconnecting 5-10 times and see if that solves your problem. If you see corrosion, unplug the refrigerator before working on the back wall part of the connector. [This connector besides powering the ice maker also allows the ice maker to control the water valve which can't be inside the freezer]

Either there's a pinched wire causing both solenoids to operate at the same time or the wires going to the solenoids are connected to the wrong terminals. You can check for a crossed wire by watching the water flow into the ice maker when you dispense water. If water does not flow into the ice maker then the wires on the solenoids are connected wrong. If water does flow then there's a wire pinched.

Kenmore model numbers look like this example=> 321.1234578 Are you sure that the water in the ice maker is melting and flowing down into the ice bin? What may be happening is the water control valve for the ice maker may be allowing water to continue flowing into the ice maker tray even when off due to the water control valve being defective. If your refrigerator also has a water dispenser and the water is not continuing to leak is because the water control valve has to sides. I'd replace the valve that hooks to the water supply.

You will need to replace the water inlet valve. Here is the part to order.

Depending on how the water is connected to the house the incoming water could be your problem. If it is a piercing tap they can get plugged easily due to their small hole size. Check the flow of the water to the fridge, if it has good flow then I would look at replacing the water valve.

First of all is the water flowing into the ice-maker? Check the solenoid valve which regulates this water flow to the dispenser & ice maker. If water is flowing in, the ice-maker's thermostat may have malfunctioned, since this thermostat is separate from that inside the fridge...........sodeep

If there is a reset button on your ice maker try pushing it. Many ice makers have two holes for reset. A general rule of thumb is if the ice maker fingers are stopped in a slightly vertical position then your ice maker unit is working. If the fingers are stopped anywhere else then it needs some sort of attention or replaced. Make sure there is water, or ice in the ice maker tray, if not then the problem is with water supply.

hi thanks for the question when you switched the wires around you checked the valves . tey are ok is the arm in the ice maker down check that if that's ok then the problem is with ice maker thanks for the question the appliance doc
