Good day I have bought the Samasung HT-Z120T/XFA Home Theatre system. As I have DVD's from all regions bought on overseas trips and presents from friends I must chasnge it toi play all regions (code 9?) Please can you supply the instructions for this. Thank you Bev Lawrence South Sfrica

1) Switch Player off then On (this is to clean-boot firmware).
2) Wait until main menu appears
3) Open Disc Tray and Close Disc Tray (May not be necessary)
4) As soon as "No Disc" is displayed quickly press REPEAT on
remote quickly use the following code for your current
region:
Region 1: Press - 2,9,3,3,4
Region 2: Press - 5,7,5,3,8
Region 3: Press - 5,6,7,3,2
Region 4: Press - 7,6,8,8,4
Region 5: Press - 5,3,8,1,4
Region 6: Press - 2,4,4,6,2
5) Your current Region will appear in the top-right corner
6) Quickly Press "9" before it disappears (It should replace
the code with a "9" in the corner)
7) Switch Player Off and then On again.

Note that REPEAT is part of the code so one smooth press of
6 keys is required.

There isn`t currently a region hack for Blue-Ray Disks

Unless you bought a DVD for multi-region(very difficult to find), most especially without the remote, you will not be able to change the region code. These firmware changes are generally uploaded by inserting a disc with the firmware on it. These units are manufactured this way with firmware(software) downloaded, or imbedded within the Microprocessor(computer or memory) and not be changed. HI,
ur dvd player has region lock . it will not play all the disk. check the DVD OF STAR WARS MOVIE which region it belongs. jus try the following not sure is it work or not

Open the tray. Press 99990 on the remote.
by doing this ur dvd player will become region free
then insert ur dvd and try.
for region 1 and region 2 code is 99991 ,99992 respectively.

1. Remove disc from tray.
2. Switch off player and unplug from mains.
3. Wait 30 seconds, then reconnect mains.
4. Turn on player with remote. Wait for player to finish loading and display 'no disc'.
5. Press enter on remote. (There will be no on-screen response.)
6. Press 8, 4, 2, 6, 9 on the remote. (There will be no on-screen response.)
7. Press enter on the remote. Player will automatically shut off.
8. Turn player on.
9. turn off.
10. Turn player off then on again.
11. Player is now region-free. 

My brother did this on his ht-z310 and other than I think maybe the traty not openin g when it said it worked fine and his player is now region free.

i live in Thailand and just made my HT-TX500 region free,
this is what i did

your dvd must be off with no dvd inside
push power on wait til no disc come up then push enter
then push 84269 then push enter then wait for the dvd to turn off
wait 5 mins.then push power on and that worked for me
